Meet Mittens. She's a tabby, I guess. I found her and her sister out in the yard. Since I didn't want them to be flat kitties, or a Coyote's supper, I took them in.

Mittens has a pretty decent sense of who she is. She's bold, already has a bit of an independent streak for her age, and has her moments of being a sweet kitty.

She tends to get kind of rough while playing, so, working on that. She's coming along, though.

Meet Tigré (right, stripes). She's a really sweet kitty. She's noticeably softer in attitude than Mittens. Tigré likes to lay on me every chance she gets. She likes to knead me, do that cute headbutting thing, and touch my face with her paws. SO CUTE!!!!

Here they are in the new cat tree. Tigré has officially claimed the basket seat as HERS! They're still getting used to it. I have some catnip spray on the way. I plan on using it on the scratching posts of the tree, to encourage them to scratch on the tree, and nothing else.

Tigré has a bit of Separation Anxiety. I'm also working on that with her. I'm hoping to set up a routine with the carriers I ordered to help her. I hope that she will be able to see at some point that I'm not abandoning her whenever I go to bed. She will see that I always come back to be mom.

The other reason I have to keep the both of them in their carriers, is to keep them from tearing up stuff when I'm not able to keep an eye on them. I already had to get onto Mittens for chewing through one of my wires.

A bit of good news, they have FINALLY learned how to operate the litter box! It's one of those lidded ones with a swinging door. Also, I have some laser pointers on the way as well. So, things are about to get FUN around here!

Thanks for tuning in! 😘
