CH 20: How Could He!

***SAINT'S APARTMENT***

Zee and Saint were unaware of all that had been unaware of the situation. Saint had gone home to South, that's where his parents lived. He was there for two and a half weeks, his parents had him take care of their business as they had to go abroad for an important meeting. He had only arrived this morning and found his boyfriend in his apartment, a surprise.

Zee had not been keeping in touch with his brother. He had no reason to do that but he didn't want to disturb him and his wife.

Right now they were watching some show on TV. Saint was resting his head on Zee's shoulder. Zee had wrapped his boyfriend in his arms. Saints hands unknowingly roamed to his boyfriend's thighs. Zee suddenly freed his grip, moving a little away.

"P'Zee, what is it?" Saint was worried.

"Nothing..." Zee couldn't make eye contact with him.

"Then why don't you look in my eyes" Saint was back to being suspicious.

"I'm afraid......." Zee didn't know what to say.

"Why is that so?..." Saint wanted to know.

"I'm afraid that I'll lose control over myself any moment now" Zee found it hard to breathe.

Saint planted a kiss on his lips and told him he didn't have to control it anymore.

It was evening already and the two were still in bed. Zee held Saint close, happy. Saint was smiling too.

"Does it hurt?" Zee asked, concerned. Saint shook his head in a 'no' and leaned close to Zee's heart. Zee kissed his forehead.

***MEWGULF APARTMENT***

Gulf was crying alone in this whole apartment, when the doorbell rang. It took him 10 minutes to get to the door, but he tried to be as quick as he could. He hoped for it to be his husband but it wasn't.

His sister was standing there with Earth. They both had a worried expression on their faces. They made their way in.

Looking at the condition of this place, Baifern wanted to scold Gulf but the situation wasn't suitable. The whole place was in a mess. Dust everywhere, nothing was put into place. But at least Gulf didn't seem to look very weak. Earth asked him if he had been eating food and he replied that he made sure to eat, he didn't want to worry Mew about his health.

Baifern asked him, "What happened between you two?". Gulf looked at her, and closed his eyes tight, he didn't want the tears to fall out again but failed. Baifern was already angry at Mew, how could he leave Gulf in this condition.

Gulf told them whatever happened that day from the night scene till the time Mew left and never returned. But there was one thing that Gulf kept to himself, he wanted to keep it to himself, it was his little assurance. Earth understood that this mess had something to do with his meeting with Mew. None of them could think rationally at the moment.

Baifern and Earth thought it was all Mew's fault. Gulf couldn't blame anyone. Gulf didn't know where Mew was. But Earth had a plan. Earth could call up his boyfriend, who was a close friend of Mew. Earth had to call multiple times before Kao finally answered the call.

[THE CALL]

Kao*happy*: Anything my sweety wants?

Earth*plainly*: It's not about me. Its Gulf.

Kao: What happened?

Earth*sigh*: Do you know where his stupid husband is?

Kao: Who? Mew?

Earth*shout*: Who else!

Kao*taken aback*: He's at my place. For a long time now.

Earth: *angry*: Keep him there I have something to talk with him.

Kao*shocked*: Okay

[CALL END]

Baifern and Earth left Gulf alone reluctantly. They didn't want to leave him there, but they had to deal with that bastard.

***KAO'S APARTMENT***

Mew had been at Kao's place for three weeks now. He would do nothing, ask for nothing. Mew would just keep sitting on the couch, zoning out the whole day long. Tears would stream down his face several times a day, but he won't make a sound. Kao was worried about his friend's composure. But he would not dare ask him anything.

All Kao knew was, Mew had hurt his wife, and now he was keeping his distance. No reason for specified for that. Mew had already apologised for what he did, but he was not expecting any forgiveness. Kao could only be around him and do nothing for his friend. Kao felt powerless.

The door slammed open, Earth and Baifern came in. Mew was still sitting on the couch, lost in his own world of guilt. Earth noticed the marks of dry tears on his face and tried to be rational.

What if the situation is not what you think it is. It would be better Mew's version of the situations. Earth told himself.

Baifern was already losing her mind and was heading towards the expressionless, lost Mew. Earth pulled her hand and told her to calm down. Kao was standing there looking at the situation.

What mess has Mew created that P'Baifern is interfering. Kao thought, even more worried than before.
