Yeonjun's P.O.V

"Morning ladies," I say giving them all a smile

I guess some city girls wake up early since a lot of them were already out and about around the farm. I go to the pigpen and feed them all and fill their waters before going out to go brush the horses

"Morning" Soobin and I say at the same time while he was putting hay and water out for the horses.

"She is in labor, most likely since last night," Soobin says petting the horse who was breathing heavily

"What are you going to do?"

"I'll most likely assist, but I'll give it a bit more time before"

I nod and put the brush down to go check on the ewe who were ready to lamb soon

As I walk into the sheep barn I could hear someone speaking

"Good girl, you did well, good job"

I walk up to see the girl named Ellaneen sitting next to an ewe and it's set of twins

"What are you doing?" I ask a little surprised

"What does it look like I'm doing?" she asks somewhat sarcastically

"Did you assist them? How?"

"This dumb old city girl just so happend to know how to assist, I don't know how I did it?" She says going overboard on her sarcasm

She stands up and walks out of the pen while I quickly check to see if the ewe and her lambs were okay. I stand up and notice she is looking for somewhere to clean her hands, which were full of blood.

"In the water bin, I was about to change it anyway"

She nods and dunks her hands in the bin. I get out of the pen and go into the barns room and take out a small towel, coming out and handing it to her. She takes it and dries her hands. She lays the towel next to the water bin and goes back to check on the lambs

"So you're not just a city girl? Or what is up with you knowing all about farm life"

"You aren't wrong"

"What?"

"I am just a city girl. My parents were not. I go to my hometown every summer. That's where I learned it all 'the farm life'"

I chuckle and walk up to her

"It brings back memories, being in this place"

"About what?"

"Home" she says softly and smiling to herself as she continues to pet the ewe

"I guess city girls can be more than snobby spoiled brats"

"Your stereotypes are way off"

"What do you mean?" I say sarcastically "All the movies I watch, they show me that" I say in a high pitched tone

"Are you trying to copy how the girls were acting yesterday?"

"So you did hear all those snobby comments they said about you when you left?"

"What snobby comments" she says turning to me and giving me a smile

"Nothing. Nevermind"

"Wait" She says looking at the lambs "Did I just make the tough country boy blush" she says smirking and coming closer to me

"What?" I say in a joking way

"I mean, I totally didn't expect for me to ever make a country boy blush, I gotta check that one off"

"Are you sure I won't make you blush?"

Ellaneen looks down and starts laughing loudly

"We'll see about that" She gets on her tippy toes getting closer to me

"Elle" I hear a stern voice behind me

I turn around to see it was the same snobby dude from yesterday

"Your boyfriends here" I say smirking

Did she just get caught trying to get at me?

"This little man? He wishes" she smiles looking at the guy

The dude ignores her comment and walks up to her handing her a water bottle.

"Barn boy, don't you have work to do?" he asks

What's up with all those cringey nicknames these people are giving me

I nod and walk off not sparing them a glance

"How's the ewe?" Soobin asks

"Good"

"Well, I'm not so good here. Can you go get me a couple of towels from the barn?"

"Uhh, sure"

I start walking back towards the barn when, again I hear loud voices coming from it. I stay to the side eavesdropping on the conversation.

"They won't all swoon over you, you know?"

"Like I care. Do we have to have this conversation right now?"

"What's your goal? I mean other than your stupid satisfaction, what do you get from all that flirting with random people?"

"Random people? That dude he's not that rando-"

"What do you get from breaking all their hearts? Is this some type of revenge or something? Because he didn't want you?" The dudes voice turned taunting

"Really? You wanna go there Beomgyu?"

"I'm serious what do you get from hurting all these people?"

"I see, this is personal. Why do you care?"

"Because you are my friend, I don't want to see you like this, hurting yourself"

"Hurting myself? You're hilarious. You just said I hurt others, now I'm hurting myself?"

"Oh shut it, you know. Do you think you can go into all these relationships with no emotion or what? You're hurting yourself too, stop acting like you don't care, wake up"

"I think your confused, I woke up along time ago" her voice, it sounded more dark

"Really then? Take it off. You already woke up take it off"

A long silence followed, along with my confusion

"If you can't take that bracelet off, it means you're not over him. It means he owns you. It means everytime you go back that fucking place you call home he still has power over you, and you know how that ends"

"Shut the fuck up. You think being my friend gives you all the knowledge about me? You don't know shit"

"I do. Like I know how you get super defensive when you know someone else is right"

Another long silence followed

"I won't be ok with it, until you realize why you're doing this, because I don't think you even know"

"Yeonjun! What's taking so long?" Soobin screamed coming closer

"Uhh, sorry, these girls their so loud they don't leave me alone"

Soobin gives me a confused look seeing that no one was around me

I cringe at myself and walk in, when I do, they are gone.

I don't know why, but I found myself looking for Ellaneen every time a group of students passed by.
