Narrator's POV

"Okay. Let's see." White said looking down at the note in their hand.

"Did no one get the-" Blue suddenly walked into the room.

Yellow, Orange and White looked at them.

"Oh, I see you guys got it." Blue said.

The lights and siren stopped going off.

"Yup." Orange nodded.

"We're all good here." Yellow said. "We've got it covered." They said, pushing Blue toward the door. "I got it covered. I got it."

"Okay, then." Blue said. "I'll see you soon."

"Yup. Mhm." Yellow nodded, pushing Blue out.

"There we go." White said. "That's funny." They nodded. "I thought Purple gave everyone a note with the code." They commented.

"Purple must've forgotten me then." Yellow said.

"The only ones that didn't get them were-" White realized. "Wait."

~hiss~

The doors shut, and Yellow stood in front of them.

"Yellow?" Orange asked.

"I knew it." White said. "I knew it."

"What's going on? Yellow." Orange said. "Yellow, open the door."

"I'm sorry, Orange." Yellow said, reaching behind themselves.

"I knew you were one of-"

Yellow quickly drew the gun out that Blue had given them and silenced White.

Orange looked at them, wide eyed. "Yellow?"

"I'm sorry Orange." Yellow said. "They were going to hurt you, and I couldn't let them. Trust me when I say I did it to protect you." They said, dropping the gun.

The door's opened back up, and Yellow ran out.

Orange looked down at White's lifeless body. "Ah!" They ran to the cafeteria, pressing the emergency button.

Everyone came to the table.

"What happened?" Blue asked.

"I don't know. Orange called the meeting." Cyan said.

Blue looked at Orange, then at Yellow. "I say it was self report."

"Wait, I haven't even said anything." Orange said.

"What happened?" Lime asked.

"White was killed." Orange said.

"Was anyone with you?" Cyan asked.

Blue looked at Orange, tightening their fists.

"No, I... I just walked in on their body." Orange said.

"Self report." Blue said.

"Seems like the only explanation." Lime said.

"But it wasn't me." Orange said. "I promise."

"You were the only one near the body, kid." Cyan said.

"Well, looks like another one down the-"

"It was me." Yellow spoke.

"I'm sorry?"

Orange looked at Yellow.

Blue narrowed their eyebrows. "Idiot." They said under their breath.

"I'm the imposter. I killed White." Yellow said. "But please, believe me; I did it to protect Orange." They said. "It was either Orange or me. I wouldn't let them hurt Orange, so it had to be me." Yellow said.

"Wait, there's another?" Lime asked.

"Can't be." Blue said.

"There is." Yellow said.

"Who?" Cyan asked.

"I won't say." Yellow.

Blue grinned.

"Under one condition." Yellow said.

"Which is?" Cyan asked.

"That they don't hurt Orange." Yellow said. "Vote me. Throw me in the chute, but don't hurt Orange please."

Blue gave Yellow a small nod that no one else noticed.

Yellow wasn't buying it though.

"Alright." Cyan said. "Yellow, go into the chute."

Yellow made their way to the chute.

Everyone followed, just to make sure Yellow got into the chute.

Blue stood in front of the lever, ready to pull it.

"Wait. I wanna say goodbye." Orange said. They ran over to Yellow and wrapped their arms around Yellow's legs. "You didn't have to do that."

Yellow crouched down to Orange's height. "I couldn't let them hurt you." They said.

"I want to go with you." Orange said. "Let them kick me out with you." They said.

"Oh, I couldn't do that." Yellow said. "You have the rest of the galaxy to see."

Orange looked at Yellow, wrapping their arms around them. "I'll never forget you."

Yellow smiled, hugging Orange back. "I won't either." They said. "I'm very sorry for this."

"For what?" Orange asked.

Suddenly Orange was pushed back hard onto the floor, causing their helmet to crack; but not enough to let air out.

Orange looked up to see Yellow reach for Blue and pull them into the vent.

"Motherfucker!!" Blue shouted.

Yellow ripped the plant from their helmet and threw it at the lever.

"Yellow!" Orange shouted.

The chute shut and pushed everything out into the space.

Yellow used Blue to push themselves toward the ship and to one of the windows.

Orange got up and ran up to the window with Yellow's plant, touching the glass.

Yellow touched the glass, overlapping Orange's hand. They began to undo their helmet.

"No. Yellow. You'll die!" Orange cried.

Yellow pulled their helmet off and revealed their face. They smiled at Orange with kind teary eyes. They placed their forehead against the glass, closing their eyes with a smile.

Orange placed their helmet against the glass to meet Yellow's forehead.

They both looked up.

Yellow smiled at Orange before pushing themselves away from the ship and float out into the space.

Orange watched them float away, tears slid down their face as Yellow got farther and farther, disappearing within the stars.

A hand landed on Orange's shoulder. "Come on, kid." Cyan said.

Orange nodded and followed Cyan and Lime to the cabin, ready to continue on their course.
