A boy was sleeping peacefully when his phone rang in half sleep he picked the call and received it ...

Boy:(in sleepy tone to the caller)Arrey yaar yeh kon meri nend ka dushman hai??

Caller:(fake anger)Tumhara baap!!

Boy:(sprang out of the bed)oh shit!!Papa Good night!!(then he saw that it was morning now he quickly said)..I..I mean Good morning

caller laughed

Caller:Tum kabhi nahi sudharo ge Kartik abhi tak so rahe ho Are you planning to go to university today or not?

So the boy is our hero Kartik,

Kartik:(embarrassed)No no papa, I was just actually I slept late at night so...

Manish:And why is that??

Kartik: nothing papa I was just not feeling well

Manish:You were not feeling well why? what happened??

Kartik: I am fine Papa,Don't worry

Manish:Wesey You have forgotten us after going there right?No call,no message

Kartik:no Papa I was busy due to studies so that's why

Manish:Beta I am really missing you, please come back you can complete your studies here also right that too in our own university I don't know why you wanted to go Mumbai for studies

Kartik:Papa how can I come back suddenly?

Manish:Beta You can atleast return for your papa right? I am missing my son alot and your brother you know him well business, business and business thats what he cares about!

Kartik: okay Papa I will

Manish:Since last one month you have been thinking about it kartik,I have asked you so many times to come back and complete your studies here only I will call you at night to know your answer

Manish cut the call and Kartik sat on his bed thinking deeply...he was not feeling like going to university so he decided to take a leave and sat there only thinking about what his father said,after sometime someone knocked on his door Kartik opened it and his friend barged into the room and sat on the bed,

Kartik: Karan What are you doing here??

Karan:Why are you not ready till now??Are you not going to university today??

Kartik (sighed):I guess no

Karan:Why??

Kartik came and sat on the bed beside him,

Kartik:My father wants me to come back

Karan:What!!And what have you decided!!

Kartik:Papa has been asking me to return since long so I think I should now agree

Karan:(hugged him)You are right uncle has been saying this since long

Kartik:hmmm....I will go back tomorrow only

Karan: Okay...so get ready at least come with me to drop me till class 

Kartik nodded and went to get ready he came after sometime and they both left,Kartik dropped karan till class and then went to Dean's office to take leaving certificate

In the evening,

Karan and Kartik had dinner together and spent some quality time together as they don't know when they will be able to meet again

Kartik went to his room and lied in his room thinking about his life when he was in Udaipur,

He remembered how Dadi used to taunt him on every thing and always used to make him realize that he is adopted

He remembered that how his mother Swarna always used to ignore him she always thought him as a stranger

He remembered how his elder brother never listened to his one thing and always used to talk to him with a stern face

A lone tear escaped from his eyes,

he lied properly to sleep and now he remembered his father,

That how he always used to take his side and defend him when Dadi taunted him

How he always used to perform the duty of his mother as well as his father when his mother ignored him

How his father scolded him on his stupid mistakes and used to behave with him as an elder brother so that  he will not feel sad that his elder brother never even talked to him properly

Kartik smiled remembering his father's efforts to make him feel happy always and was happy now that he is going back to his beloved father
