Dating Draco

* Not actually dating
* At all
* Not while you're in school anyways
* As a Half-blood Gryffindor, it was neither in your nature to agree with anything he says, nor was it your position
* You're a very laid-back, extrovert when it comes to the students at Hogwarts
* Everyone was just so interesting
* You'd get along with pretty much everyone including people you weren't friends with
* This includes Blaise, Pansy, Crabbe and Goyle
* Of course, you only spoke to them in the first place to annoy your friend, Harry's (and by proxy, yours) arch nemesis, Draco Malfoy in 2nd year
* It was years and years of teasing in retaliation to his bullying
* Obviously, you showing no signs of letting him get to you just pissed him off to no end
* Him eventually treating you with the same banter in third year, but still, some bickering ensues here and there
* Mostly because he has no respect for your friends
* Him giving up telling you to go away, and easing into a weird friendship
* This includes you talking about Cedric Diggory and how he's winning girls over by being boyish yet manly
* And him making fun of you for not asking him to the ball
* He'd been going with Pansy since neither of them wanted to bring a romantic date
* He becomes pretty fond of you in fourth year, and you even share a dance at the Yule ball
* "Strictly for the banter"
* You being so happy that he might just change
* Wishful thinking about the possibility of a friendship
* Even a rocky one
* If he happened to be around, you'd talk to him about whatever was bothering you
*(couldn't trust him with stuff about your friends)
* ie: seeing your first dead body, Barty crouch while walking the Forrest with Harry, Hermione, Ron and Hagrid
* Sharing hobbies and not-so-deep secrets
* Random acts of kindness, like pouring you juice when you invited yourself to sit with him for a quick catch up at lunch
* Him calming you down when your eventual close friend Cedric died, then avoiding McGonagall and Snape when they stumbled across the pair of you
* Blasting Harry and George off of him in fifth year when they beat him up
* Just to save them from trouble
* He stopped seeming worth it when you heard him commenting on Harry's dead mother at the age of 15
* Him acting cold, and you actually being bothered, but you know why he's was doing it
*(Because you were against the inquisitorial squad)
* Hexing him after he sold out Dumbledores army
* Him being so mentally broken after his father was arrested and telling you he had feelings for you
* Trying to kiss you, but of course, you couldn't be with him... even if you were falling for him
* You knew better
* Him depressed to the point of being sickly when you saw him in sixth year
* Trying to talk, and him brushing you off
* Facing your feelings when Harry cursed him, planning to tell him
* But after the eventuality, you just cried, and fought
* Him staying to fight by your side during the war and not seeing each other until a year later
* When you could actually talk without a stigma
* That's when your relationship started to have a label
* But you'd pretty much been in a rocky one for all the time you've known each other
* Being such a seemingly normal couple just because you can now
* But really, you both have darkness in your heads from what you faced
* Luckily, you have each other...
