Chapter 15

Like I said before, I never expected to have a bullet flying towards me when the news delivered went south.

I had woken up that morning nicely wrapped in Zithanial’s protective hold with not much worry in the world.

I look up expecting to see Zithanial’s eyes closed but it took me by surprise when I was caught in his green forest eyes.

Zithanial smiled sweetly down at me,“Good morning Beautiful.”

I blush and buried my head back in his warm chest, “How old have you been watching me?” I mumbled complete embarrassed.

Zithanial chuckled and smoothed back my hair, which was probably a mess. “I’ve been awake since dawn.”

This made me shoot up and turn to look at him with wide eyes,“That long?! You could have got up if you wanted to, I wouldn’t have minded.”

Zithanial rolled eyes and got up off the bed, turning back to hold his hand out for me to hold. I timidly took his hand and climbed off the bed, once I was up Zithanial pulled me so I was pressed against his body. “If I wanted to get up, I would have. But you were so perfect in my arms that I simply couldn’t move even if I wanted to.” With that Zithanial leans down and brings his lips to mine, slowly parting my lips with his. He slides one of his hands up to gentle cup my head and tilt it in just the right angle so he has perfect access to my waiting mouth.

I moan as his tongue slides across mine, exploring my mouth. Zithanial grips my body closer to his, his body is curved because he has to lean down to match my height. This cause me to bend back as my body moulds to his.

With are both too carried away in each other that we don’t hear the door open and it isn’t until Mum is standing there clearing her throat, do we break apart both breathless.

“As much as I want grandchildren, I really think we should wait until after the Elders announcement to do that,” Mum says as she shakes her head at us.

I for one, am absolutely mortified that I had been caught making out with Zithanial. I bury my head in Zithanial’s chest as he wraps his arms over me, “Mum,” He whines. “You couldn’t have knocked for something?”

Luna Stone just laughs,“I did knock, you just never held. You are luckily that it was me who came up to get you and not your father. He would be saying much worse things than a simple wait until after.”She suddenly gets serious, “But you two need to come down now, the Elders want to announce their judgement.”

“Yep okay, thank you for coming up and telling us. You can go now, we’ll be right down.” Zithanial nods towards his mother, trying to hold back a smile I can see is threatening to break through.

“Okay sweet, just don’t take too long or else I’ll send your Father up here.” With that Luna Stone walks out of the room leaving the door wide open.

“Come on,” Zithanial says as he untangles himself from me. Immediately I am missing his warmth that was surrounding me. “We better get going, we can continue where we left off later,” Zithanial looks over his shoulder and winks at me.
