Participant Rules

BEST BOOK CATEGORY IS CLOSED. Best Short Story and Best Poem are still OPEN.

1. All entries must be in English.

2. Any attempts at bribery will result in disqualification.

3. You can submit up to three books, one in each category (Best Book, Best Short Story, Best Poem).

4. All books must have at least three actual-content chapters. Prologues and character descriptions do not count. Password is Oxford. 

5. Be nice and patient.

6. Have fun!

For those of you who participate in our sister branch Summer Zodiac Awards, note that the Winter Zodiac Awards is run differently. Instead of separating novels into genres, we have a broad Best Book category (Shorty Story and Poetry still have their own categories like before). Only one winner will be selected per category, regardless of genre. This contest is a test of your writing ability and storytelling techniques—the foundational skills in any kind of writing.
