Chapter 16

There she was Mal walking down the path with Ben me and Carlos shared a look as Mal approached and stood near the king ben kneeled on the steps in front of FGM " Do you solemnly swear to govern the peoples of Auradon with justice and mercy as long as you shall reign?" She asked, "I do solemnly swear." Ben said "Then it is my honor and my joy to bless our new king." she said just then a hand grabbed the wand I looked at Mal thinking it was her but she was just as shocked I looked over again and it was Jane who stole the wand "Child, what are you doing?!" FGM screamed as the wand let out massive sparks "If you won't make me beautiful, I'll do it myself! Bibbidi-bobbidi-boo!" She screamed as a piercing white light shot through the room breaking it "Take cover!" King Adam yelled as I ran from the band without them noticing "Careful, Mal!" Belle yelled as I met up with Carlos, Evie, and Jay, and we went to be with Mal just to see her with the wand "Mal, give me the wand." Ben said calmly as we reached her "Stand back." She yelled at everyone else "It's okay." Ben said trying to get close enough to take the wand "Ben, I said stand back!" She shouted at him "I told you so!" Audrey shouted and Mal pointed the wand at her "Let's go!" I said thinking of the plan that once we run I can steal the wand from her then give it to FGM "Revenge time!" Jay yelled, "You really want to do this?" Ben asked "We have no choice, Ben! Our parents..." Mal started "Your parents made their choice. Now you make yours." Ben said calmly "I think I want to be good." Mal said lowering the wand "You are good." Ben said, "How do you know that?" She asked feeling nervous "Because...Because I'm Listening to my heart," He stated "I want to listen to my heart, too. And my heart is telling me that we are not our parents. I mean, stealing things doesn't make you happy. Tourney and victory pizza with the team makes you happy." she said looking at Jay "And you Y/N Being with Carlos and singing makes you happy!" She said as I started to blush "And you, Being with Y/N and scratching dude's belly makes you happy. Who would've thought?" She said as Carlos started to blush "And Evie... You do not have to play dumb to get a guy. You are so smart." She said as Evie placed a hand over her heart and at this point, we were all crying " And I don't want to take over the world with evil. It doesn't make me happy. I want to go to school. And be with Ben. Because Ben makes me really happy. Us being friends makes me really happy. Not destroying things. I choose good, you guys." Mal said putting her fist in the middle "I choose good, too." Jay said, "I choose good." Evie said "Me too," I said at this point all four of us had our fist in the middle all that was missing was Carlos' "So, just to be clear, we don't have to be worried about how really mad our parents will be? Because they're gonna be really, really mad." He said, "Your parents can't reach you here." Ben said and Carlos nodded and put his in the middle then Mal gestured for Ben to put his in too 

Just then a puff of green smoke appeared and we heard the Cracking voice of Maleficent  

"I'm baaaaack!" She Cackled "It can't be. Go away, mother." Mal demanded "She's funny. Oh! I'm so... you're very funny. Here. Wand me. Chop chop." She said then Mal tossed the wand to FGM "Bibbidi-bobbidi..." She was cut off by Maleficent saying "Boo!" as everyone froze in place but us 5as she started to mess with Adam Belle Ben and FGM by taking the wand and putting it up her nose "Someone needs to pluck their nose hairs.: She said as she picked at her nose "Falling in love is weak... And ridiculous. It's not what you want." She said messing with Ben's crown "You don't know what I want! Mom, have you ever once asked me what I want? I'm not you!" Mal said with clenched fists "Oh, obviously. I've had years and years and years and... Years of practice being evil. You'll get there." She boosted "No, I will not. And I really wish that you had never gotten there yourself. Love is not weak or ridiculous. It's actually really amazing." Mal said looking over at me and Carlos "I know one thing, young lady. You have no room for love in your life!" She said pointing to Mal "And now I command, wand to my hand!" Mal shouted and the wand flew out of Maleficent's hand and into Mal's "I hardly think so. Frankly, this is tedious and very immature. Give me the wand. Give me the wand!" She demanded "Hold on, Mal. Maybe good really is more powerful than evil." Carlos said "Yeah!" I said "Oh, please! You're killing me. Arf! Squawk!" She made fun of us just then Dude Ran into the room flowed by Zazu. Zazu shot watermelon seeds he had stored in his beak at her on her head while Dude jumped on her and bit her "Oh! Oh, the breath! The breath! Get off me!" She yelled and pushed Dude away and shooed Zazu who sat on my shoulder as Jay ran up to her trying to steal the scepter "Gaston should be jealous. Enough! You all will regret this!" Maleficent said as she pushed Jay back and transformed into a dragon 

I could barely hear anything Carlos Mal Evie and I were yelling at Jay to run from the towering beast "Magic mirror, show your bright light!" Evie yelled and the mirror blinded Maleficent "Behind me, E! Leave my friends alone! This is between you and me, mother. The strength of evil is good as none when stands before five hearts as one. The strength of evil is good as none when stands before five hearts as one!" she chanted and a cloud of smoke engulfed Maleficent and FGM unfroze "Oh!" She said grabbing the wand from Mal "What just happened?" I asked while looking at the small purple lizard on the ground "I have no idea." Mal said, "Did you do it?" Evie asked "No, no, no, no. Your mother did. She shrank to the size of the love in her heart. That's why It's so itty-bitty." FGM said while handing Mal Ben's ring "Is she gonna be like that forever?" Mal asked "Well, forever is a long time. You learned to love. So can she." She said, "You all have earned yourselves an "A" in goodness class. Bibbidi-bobbidi-boo!" She said while unfreezing everyone and Ben roared and charged forward before falling down "Okay, okay! Oh! We kinda got this all wrapped up here." Mal said helping him up "Next time, I rescue you, okay?" He asked "Yeah. Let's not let there be a next time, okay? I will be right back." Mal said looking over at Jane and FGM "I love you. But you are on a major time-out." FGM grounded her "Don't be too hard on Jane. I was the one who put all that crazy stuff in her head. You are beautiful... Inside and out. Your mom got that right." Mal said, "I guess I did get pretty lucky in the mother department." Jane said as Mal nodded looking over as a hard picked up Maleficent "Careful! That's my mom!" Mal shouted causing everyone to laugh "Well, let's get this party started!" Jay shouted "Ohayohay, hey" Everyone screamed

After that song, it was time for my solo I was nervous but Carlos kissing my cheek calmed me down
