"Your brother has the newest video game?! It's not even out yet!" Tom gasped as he made his way over to the tv to see the newest video game stacked on top of all the other vide games.

"Well, we have connections." You chuckled. "Anyway, let's go to my room." You grabbed your best friend's hand and dragged him to your room. It was rather large for one person to sleep in and it was aesthetically pleasing.

"Harry could take lots of pictures here." Tom muttered under his breath.

"Come sit, Tom!" You patted on the space next to you on the bed. He immediately sat next to you and relaxed.

"Your bed is really comfy." Tom sighed happily. "You're very lucky to be born rich. Not a lot of people are like you. It must be nice to live like royalty."

You chuckled, "Thanks, but..."

"But what?" He asked as he closed his eyes.

"Can I be honest with you?"

"Sure."

"I want more." You told him. Tom's eyes quickly opened and he looked at you, "You want more? As in, more fancy shit? You already have a lot of things! You even have the original Broadway cast of Hamilton performing on your birthday next week. How could you possibly want more?!"

"Don't be silly. I don't mean material things, Tommy." You giggled. "I meant I want more than this life, you know? Sure, my family and I have a lot of money and I'm sure my brother and I will be secured for the rest of our lives, but it's kind of sad."

"How come?" Tom frowned.

"Don't be blinded by the things we have, Tom. My life isn't as great as you think." You told him. "My dad's cheating on my mom for someone younger, my mom pretends she doesn't know just to keep our family in tact, and my brother is having problems at such a young age. He's only 10 years old and I love him to bits, Tom. He doesn't deserve that."

"So, yes. I want much more than this life of mine. I want a decent family. I want a loyal dad, a happy mom, and a carefree brother. I want my family to be like yours. I want to get out of here and I want to take my brother with me. I'm the only one he has because both of my parents hate him for some reason."

"Oh. I'm sorry, Y/N. I didn't know." Tom frowned.

"No one did and that's okay. At least I told you. I don't want to bottle it up anymore." You smiled softly.

"Well, you'll always have me." Tom nudged you lightly. You nodded, "I agree and thank you for always being here for me and my brother."

"You're welcome." Tom smiled. "How about we take your brother out somewhere to cheer him up? That'll help, right?"

You grinned, "It would, yeah. He'd love that! I'll call him. But where are we going?"

"Nowhere special. Just at my house. I know Paddy wants someone to play football with and I know you want new pictures for your Instagram because you bought new clothes from those brands that I can't even spell right." Tom chuckled.

"Besides, you have that 'Evening Dress' from Valentino and I bet it looks ravishing on you, darling." Tom praised. "You need a picture of you wearing that on your Instagram."

"That's true." You laughed and got out of bed. "I'll call my brother and then we could leave. My Valentino dress is in my closet and my new clothes are still in my car. I trust you with my Valentino dress." You left the room and Tom sighed to himself and walked to your closet that looked like a shop itself. He immediately saw the dress and carefully grabbed it. He stared at the dress and thought of what you just said. He could give you the family you've always wanted. He just had to make his move. He knew he didn't have much, but he knew you would be alright if you were with him than some guy you barely knew.

"Yeah." Tom said to himself. "We could be the family you've always dreamed of, Y/N. We really could."

He just had to start by asking you out and everything would fall into place. But for now, it was time to head to his humble home where you and your brother could be yourselves without any criticism from your parents.
