The man is alone. The man needs no others.

The man is self-reliant.

He moved to Florida to avoid paying taxes. He moved to the country to avoid other people.

People carry with them toxic viruses. People carry with them toxic beliefs.

The man needs no others. No others need him.

The man helps no one. Nobody helps him.

The man is self-reliant.

His engineering knowledge helped him build his fortune. His knowledge and fortune helped him build his home.

A man's home is his castle. His home is a fortress.

His home was built safe. His home will be safer.

He digs underneath. He digs a basement.

He's building a basement. He's building his bunker.

He digs deeper down. He digs deeper still.

He builds it himself. He needs no one else.

The man is self-reliant.

He drags his supplies into his basement. He hoards his supplies inside his bunker.

He wants his bunker bigger. He digs it deeper still.

Florida country homes know peace because they have no neighbors.

Florida country houses have no basements because of the reservoir below.

The man digs deeper into his bunker. The man digs himself into a hole.

The ground crumbles; his world collapses.

The man's shovel falls in the hole. The man's shovel falls in the reservoir.

The man's supplies fall in the hole. The man's supplies fall in the reservoir.

The man claws at the dirt. The man clutches at straws.

The man falls in the hole. The man falls in the reservoir.

The man starts to tread water. The man starts to dread water.

He doesn't cry out for it's futile. He doesn't cry out on principle.

The hole is fourteen feet above. The hole is fourteen feet too far.

It shouldn't be a problem for the man. After all, he is self-reliant.
