An old saying

There's an old saying amongst us gravediggers,
"If you bury a body alive, their screams will fill your head as they filled their own coffin."

I take every measure to make sure the person that shall be buried is indeed dead

I poke at their eyes with a spear,
I prod at their sides until they bleed,
I cut little bits off of fingers,
I bite chunks out of their flesh,
I burn the very flesh off of their bones,

I can rest easily knowing that their screams will never be heard again
