Kamalha's POV

I see myself running into a very dense forest. But, the trees don't look normal. The trunks are white with black polka dots while the leaves are both purple and teal. The leaves are crunching from underneath me. The sky is a numb gray with brown clouds. From a distance, I hear a distorted howl and a thin screech. My eyes see small shadows running behind the trees. And there is this coldness surrounding me. And there is no sun here.

I see a dancing shadow up ahead. There is thick smoke surrounding it. I saw myself similarly several times. Me dancing up in Carnegie Hall for my fans and smoke starting to appear for a dramatic effect.

My feet are screaming in pain from running. Why am I running? From one of my weekly nightmares. When my father comes into my room after dinner. He does his "ritual". A ritual where he gets to do some forbidden things to my mind.

As you might not know, he has a power where he can implement fear into others. And for the past 13 years, he has been implementing new nightmares and fears into my brain. This has been going for so long, I am losing touch with reality.

I am becoming astray from my own dreams. It seems the forest is part of my nightmare.

I think what is going to happen next from here. As soon as I step away from this forest, I will fall from a cliff. A cliff where I can't reach for help. Help I desperately need for my own sanity.

As soon as I reach the other side of the forest, my eyes wake up.
