Sure, (name) said it was okay for Tanaka to drop by his house to study with a nod. But he was sure he didn't agree on letting Tanaka bring Nishinoya, or anyone, with him.

The duo sat down after (name) let them in his room. "I'll bring some drink and snack, you two.. do whatever you want." He said and left to the kitchen.

When (name) was certain he was in the kitchen alone, he had a mental breakdown. He slumped over to a corner, whispering to himself such as "Stupid Ryu, bringing Nishinoya to my home." or "What should I do, what kind of snack does he like?"

After five minutes of doing that, he finally gained some composure and went to bring some cold drinks from his fridge and a bunch of snacks. He walked back to his room and set the snacks down, along with the drinks.

"Thanks, (last name)!" Nishinoya beamed as he went for a potato chip bag. (name) shrugged and turned to Tanaka who was opening a bag of whatever snack he chose.

"So," (name) started, sitting down across the pair. "Didn't you come here to study?" He asked with a smile. Tanaka froze and put the snack down slowly, giving a nod.

"Then, let's study."

Hours passed by and it was already late. (name) glanced at the clock hanging on his wall, back to the duo who was crying while doing some questions.

"It's already past 10pm," (name) started. "Shouldn't you two be going home?"

Tanaka and Nishinoya shared a look before panicking. "Ah, then I'm going home! Thanks, (nickname)!" Tanaka said and ran out of (name)'s house.

"And you?" Nishinoya blinked, he didn't know it was this late already. He slowly looked up to (name) who was still waiting for an answer.

"C-can I stay over? Just for tonight!"

(name) tried to remain calm as he tried to come up with a reason to say no. He looked down to Nishinoya who was looking at him with a puppy-dog-eyes. Well, that was a mistake.

"S-sure. Make yourself at home.. I guess."

"Can I borrow your bathroom?"

(name) nodded, looking away from the libero. After an awkward amount of time without exchanging words, (name) looked at Nishinoya again.

The latter gave a sheepish smile as he scratched the back of his head. "Can you.. lend me some clothes for tonight?"

(name) abruptly stood up and went to his closet, he picked an outfit and gave them to Nishinoya without looking at him. He was a blushing mess and he didn't want the shorter to look at him in that state.

Nishinoya smiled widely and took the clothes, saying a soft "Thanks" as he fled out of the room. (name) sighed and turned around, seeing the mess in his room. "Time to clean up," he said to himself and started to clean up.

By the time Nishinoya finished bathing, (name) had finished cleaning. The taller looked up from his phone to see Nishinoya grinning.

He looked absolutely adorable with his hair down and the oversized shirt and all that.

(name) felt his chest tightened. "Ah right, you can sleep here. I'll sleep somewhere else." He informed Nishinoya who looked at him in confusion.

"You're not sleeping with me?"

(name) immediately blushed and stood up, leaving the room in a rush. "I'm not feeling well! Now go to sleep. Goodnight!" He said before closing the door.

Once he was outside, he sighed heavily and walked to the living room. He plopped down onto the couch and closed his eyes.

It was 4am when (name) woke up so suddenly. He sat up and immediately felt how dry his throat felt. He coughed a few times before hurriedly going to the kitchen to get some water.

After chugging down a bottle of water from inside his fridge, he sighed. His throat hurt a lot from coughing. He couldn't even relax a bit as he let out another fit of cough. He covered his mouth to not bother anyone, that was when he felt something on his palm. He looked down on it.

Blood and two blue petals.

i actually finished writing this book so im just posting the chapters but.. i think this is not exactly a nishinoya x m.reader, because its not focused on their relationship. its more of a tanaka x m.reader.

i did say nah to making a tanaka x m.reader x nishinoya but idk man, it ended up that way.
