Iman's pov
"Man I wish I was dumb so I wouldn't have to skip a grade." Iman mumbled as she entered school
Today was Iman's first day as a senior since she was at the top of her class as a junior so the district had her skip a grade.
The only reason why she didn't 100% hate skipping a grade was because her best friend, nijae was a couple months older than her and was a known senior.
Iman wasn't completely antisocial which is what most people called her, she really just didn't like being the center or attention so she just stayed to herself most of the time.
She only had two friends who were nijae and India,
Nijae and Iman meet when they were in elementary school and been best friends since, but the two met India their sophomore and junior year.
India was the same age as nijae but that didn't make a difference between the girls friendship.
Iman FaceTime their group chat.....
"Where tf are y'all at?" Iman questioned the two
"Girl you know I live 20 minutes away, im about to pull up though." nijae responded
"Yea I'm on my way." India stated
"Ms ma'am now we all know you are nowhere near the school." Iman said
"Yes it's giving the girls.... "fashionable late" ." Nijea said.
"Awee byeeee" India said in her rolling ray voice.
"Not her quoting the queen in the wheelchair it's self" Iman said.
"Yes I did that, and you would do it-" India got cut off
"Ms girl hush." nijae said
"Yes massa" India said
" I- bye I'm at the front gate" nijae said before hanging up the call.
"But nah fr I'm almost here mani." India said
" Ok dia see you in a few" Iman said before hanging up the call
Iman sent her schedule to the group chat
Iman tried to walk out the building to reach nijea but since class started in ten minutes the security guard stopped her
"Ten minute rule! Go back and wait like the rest you ain't special lil girl" Ms Morgan said
".... I never said I wa- ok" Iman replied
Iman started walking back upstairs
"With you instant edges having ass" Iman said under her breath
