08 - i'm a beer pong virtuoso

(before i start let me just say the only frat house i've ever been to wasn't on campus, we had to drive like a half a mile to get to it so idk if thats normally the case or not sorry i know nothing about college)
i looked myself over in the mirror one last time, quiffing up my hair a little more. the party was in less than an hour, michael and calum would be here soon and i was not even close to being ready. i really wanted to make myself look good tonight, and maybe try to impress michael. i had been thinking a lot the past few days about what calum said, and maybe he was right.
i thought i looker pretty good, to be honest. i had on actual clothes for once, not just my UNSW sweatshirt and a pair of joggers. tonight i had on a black t-shirt with a blue flannel on top, with skinnies and a pair of VANS.
not to brag or anything, but i would fuck me.
there was a knock on my door and i quickly did a last minute check, then rushed over to the door to reveal calum, michael and ashton.
"you look hot," calum said bluntly, nodding in approval of my outfit.
i rolled my eyes at him with a small smile on my face. "let's go," i chuckled, snatching my keys and my phone from the edge of my bed before joining the three boys out in the hall.
other than us and a few other people, the halls were pretty empty. everyone was most likely either out partying or cramming for tests.
we walked out to calum's car, and every few seconds i would take a glimpse at michael. he looked especially good tonight. over his usual band t-shirt was a leather jacket, which just added to his punk vibe. the heels of his black boots clunked against the sidewalk, casually getting louder as we got closer to calum's car.
the entire time he didn't seem to notice my secret glances. the car ride was far from silent; calum had blink-182 blasting through the speakers. out of the corner of my eye i saw michael bobbing his head along as he tapped his finger on his leg. i smiled slightly.
when calum pulled up to the house, it was already packed. the party had made its way out to the front lawn, where people were drinking and fooling around. we hadn't even gotten out yet and i could hear the music blaring over calum's.
i hadn't been to a proper college party yet - I was too caught up in studying - so i assumed it would be like any other cliché party where people were passed out on the front lawn by 9 and there was toilet paper hanging off everywhere. that didn't seem to be the case here.
we all stepped out and the music got 10 times louder. currently playing was a song that they overplayed on the radio, but everyone still seemed to like it because when we stepped inside there were people dancing everywhere. almost all of them had a drink in their hand, and those who weren't dancing were practically having sex in a corner.
i cringed as some guy bumped into me, almost making his drink slosh over the edge of the cup and onto my shirt.
i glanced behind me to make sure my friends were still behind me, cocking an eyebrow when michael was the only one left. he just shrugged and pointed towards the mob of people dancing, so i assumed thats where calum and ashton had wandered off to.
figuring they could take care of themselves for a bit, i made my way into the kitchen with michael trailing behind me. i sat down at the counter, looking over all of the drinks set on the granite surface. i was smart enough not to take anything, even if it was "water". everything was probably spiked.
michael didn't seem to care though; he took a cup that was filled to the brim with alcohol, taking a few sips.
he glanced over at me, raising a brow. "you're not gonna drink?" he questioned, placing the red plastic cup back down on the countertop.
