"Are you sure you would like... this child?" Mrs.Risk, the woman who runs the orphanage, asked. She pointed to the small girl twelve-year old girl standing in front of her. There were two people, a married couple, that wanted to adopt the girl. The woman nodded. "Yes, we're sure." She said and smiled down at the girl. The girl was shy, but her past didn't match her shyness, really. Mrs. Risk pushed the girl back in front of her when she tried to hide behind her. "Odette, be polite." She snapped. Odette winced slightly and stepped back out from behind her. The woman and man both smiled down at the young girl. "My name is Stan," the man said. "And this is my wife, Sara." He smiled at Sara. "So, Odette, are you ready to go to your new home?" Mrs. Risk asked. Odette nodded, but the young girl knew she wouldn't be there long. She's run away from every single home she been to. 'Maybe it won't be so bad..' She thought as she grabbed her small bag of stuff and walked out the door with her new parents. They climbed into the car and rode home. The young girl was quiet, and stared out the window the whole time. As Stan pulled into the driveway, Odette couldn't help but gawk at the almost conjoining roofs at the side of the house. Stan parked, and Odette almost stumbled out when opened the door and grabbed her bag after the car stopped. After climbing out and balancing herself, she looked up at the house. She followed her new parents inside and led her to her room, which had a window leading out to the roof. Her parents walked out of the room, and she set her bag down on the bed. She walked over to the window, seeing a young boy about her age sitting there, looking eagerly through the window, as if he was hoping she would come out. She smiled at the boy and opened the window, climbing out to the roof. "Hi," she said, sitting down on the roof. "I'm Odette."
The boy smiled back at her, which she found kinda cute. "Hi. My name's Daniel."
