RIIIIIIINNNNNGGGGG.
Yep, that's the bell, I thought.
First day of school and I was already running late. I mean, there I was, making a mad dash to the front doors. I bump into everyone I passed by. It's a little awkward but at the moment but I didn't care.
I burst through the doors then drastically slowed down my pace, not wanting to get in trouble for running in the halls. I made my way to Homeroom and opened the door. Inside the classroom, everyone was looking at me, even the teacher, making me feel embarrassed.
"Well, well, well," the teacher said. "Ms. Animations."
I gulped.
"Am I late, sir?" I asked quietly so only the teacher could hear.
"Not yet," he replied. He didn't say it in a pleasant-sounding tone, but I could tell I wasn't in trouble.
Before I could take a step into the classroom, the clock in the classroom ticked.
8:16 AM. Darn it.
"Now you are late," he said with a smirk. "Go to the principal's office." I'm starting to not like this guy.
As I turned around quickly and cursed under my breath, I could hear a couple of students giggle behind me as I walked out.

I have a love-hate relationship with this school. One of the many things I hate about it is Principal W. No one really knows how to pronounce her name correctly as it's always been Principal Wojizzcock or Principal Wario. It was later on the students finally realized that Principal W was much easier to say.
I opened the office door and plopped myself down on a seat.
"Hello, Jaiden." It was the school Secretary. "Are you looking for the principal?"
"Yeah," I awkwardly replied.
"Oh, then you're going to have to wait. She's talking to another student."
I wait for a couple of minutes until my buddy James walks out. It's been a while since we last saw each other and I wanted to reconcile with him. I walked up to James and was about to say something, but he just gives me a look telling me it wasn't the time. His eyes shifted to Principal W, and that was when I had forgotten how scary she looked.
"Why hello, Jaiden! Please come in," she says creepily as she welcomes me into her office.
While her greeting may not have sounded creepy to others, I couldn't help but feel uneasy about it.
I entered her office and I felt a chill crawl down my back. It was your typical office, but it just seemed a bit off. I sat down and immediately got an earful from her. I didn't remember much of what she said, something along the lines of time management. Not liked I cared anyway. I don't know who's worse, the teacher who sent me here because I was a second late. Or Principal W, who was making a big fuss out of it.
Whatever. Principal W let me go back to my homeroom. Not that it mattered since it was already time for my first class.

The first half of the day was pretty boring. The teachers made us set up our school supplies we'd use for the school year. It was like that until lunch. We walked single filed into the cafeteria where there was a lot of chatter. I randomly ordered something from the menu and went to go sit down.
James was already at a table and waved me over. He was sitting with Adam, who was playing on his DSI. I was about to walk over when someone elbows me.
"Watch where you're going, loser," he snarled.
He had dirty blonde hair and a green hoodie. The boy also donned a white mask with a smiley on it. I froze when I looked at his face, technically mask, and knew he was no good. It was Dream.
Dream is basically your typical high school bully who enjoys skateboarding as their pastime. He leads a gang named, 'Dream Team' and you do not want to mess with them. If you did, you'd be pummeled into ground beef. Everyone at high school knows how terrible he can be, but to the lower grades, he's considered a hero. They will defend him if you try to put him in the wrong.
"Thanks for the tip," I said nervously as I attempt to casually step aside.
"Get in my way again and I'll end you on the spot." he threatened.
He shoves me aside, causing me to stumble and fall on the floor as he walks away as if nothing happened.
What a jerk. I sighed and walked to where James was, periodically glancing behind my back to ensure that Dream didn't come back to aggravate me even more. I sat down at the table, and James and Adam looked at me with concern written on their faces.
"Dude, are you okay? What happened?" James asked.
"I just ran into some problems," I said with a small grin.
"You're lucky you made it out alive!" Adam exclaimed.
"Heh heh. Yep."
After lunch, we attended the rest of our classes without any interruption. Still, today felt like the worst first day of class ever.
