Sophia's POV
Perfection.
That is how I would describe the amazing place that I am in. Looking around at all of the amazing flowers and exotic trees in the garden, I still can't believe that the place that has haunted my dreams for so long is real and that I am actually in it. Taking a deep breath and inhaling the aromas of so many wonderful flowers I can't help but to smile. It's hard to think that I've been here on Olympus for almost six months when it feels like everyday is the first. There is so much to see and to learn. At times I still find myself thinking that everything is a dream and that I'm going to wake up; that this place and the people I've met and come to love will vanish and I will once again be stuck at the orphanage and going to high school trying to find my way in a world that could do without me.
But then I see Hercules; I see the way he looks at me with all the love in the world. I listen to the way he laughs. I feel the butterflies in my chest flutter to life every time he touches me and I know that this is real, that there is nothing out there that would be as wonderfully kind as to give me Hercules only to have me wake up and him not to have ever exsisted.
It has been quite the change, coming here to Olympus, changing the way I do things everyday, meeting people that I would have sworn didn't even exsist a year ago, and of course becoming a god myself. That last one has probably been the most difficult. But out of everything that's happened, no matter how hard or different I wouldn't have changed any of it. I think the biggest relief to all of us, and especially to Hercules, was that Hector couldn't hurt us anymore. He was mortal, and even at this exact moment is living on Earth attempting to gain back his god like abilities.
Just as I am beginning to really enjoy the peace and trainquility of the garden I hear it, the sound of very light footsteps. A smile overtakes my lips and I wait patiently. I listen as the steps continue to creep closer and closer and it takes everything I have not to laugh at this failed attempt at sneakiness. I can feel eyes on me, warm breath just barely fanning my neck, and my smile becomes bigger.
"Hello Hercules," I say without turning around. I hear a loud sigh and then a huff as he shuffles to sit beside me on the bench.
"How did you know it was me?" he asks with a frown.
"You weren't exactly being quiet."
"You know I'm not so sure I like you being a god anymore. You never would have heard me before if you'd still been human," he says as he smirks at me.
"Whatever you say."
We both turn and look back out towards the garden. We come here everyday. It's our escape from everything but each other. It's funny but this place that I had always thought of as mine, and Hercules had always called his own has really always been ours all along. I can't help but sneak looks at him as he watches the fountain in the center of the garden. His strong profile gives a false impression of someone who is hard and serious, but if I had to describe the man I married it would be anything but that. One look in his gray eyes and I can't help but to feel safe and loved.
"You do know that it isn't polite to stare don't you?" he asks as he looks at me with a small smile.
"I just can't help myself."
"Oh I know the feeling," he says emphatically.
"Do you?" I ask skeptically.
"Of course I do. Like right now for example, I just can't help myself from doing this." With that I squeal with laughter as he slides over and sits me on his lap. "And I can't stop myself from this either," he says as he pulls my lips down to meet his own.
