Present Day
Garcia PoV
"You're right, I need to go get my guy" I exclaimed then left Emily's room and went into Derek and Hotch's where I saw them both packing their things.
"I'm sorry for running out earlier" I exclaimed from the doorway and both men turned their attention to me.
"When you kissed me this morning I ran out and I'm sorry, I wanted to kiss you back, but I- I just got scared and I don't want to ruin what w-" I started
"Babygirl, you and I, we work and don't ever think differently, I love you Penelope and You love me and no matter what the circumstances are, we work, this team it's like a puzzle, and you and I fit right next to each other" Derek explained then kissed me on the cheek and I smiled. Hotch left the room and headed to Emily's I assumed
Aaron PoV
"Hey you" She smiled as I walked into the room to see her sitting up with Declan awake and leaning on her shoulder as she stroked his hair.
"How are you guys doing?" I asked as I placed my go-bag on the ground and took my place in the side chair.
"We're good, how are you feeling? Where's Jack?" Emily asked
"I had Jess take him to the hotel last night, I thought that you two should get some time together. Listen Em, I need to talk to you" I replied and Emily smiled at me then at Declan.
"Hey Declan why don't you go find Dave, he said he'll take you and Jack to breakfast" Emily suggested and so Declan did.
"What's up?" Emily asked and I could feel the smile forming on my face.
"If anything happens to me, I want Jack to have someone, and I want him to have you. We both know that if I ever die that you have no rights to Jack and I want him to have you-" I started and Emily reached out for my hand.
"Aaron that's not going to happen, nothing is going to happen to you" She replied
"I know, but he is so young and he's already lost so much, if he loses me he can't lose you too" I explained and Emily pulled me over closer.
"I want you to adopt him" I added
"And I will, but you need to know that Jack is always going to have me" Emily replied and I lightly kissed her forehead.
"I love you Em," I exclaimed
"I love you too and I want you to take the boys home, I'll be here for at least three more days, go home, spend time with the boys. I'll be okay" She explained and I couldn't help but give out a small chuckle.
"I'm not going to leave you in a hospital all alone, i'm staying" I responded and began caressing Emily's cheek.
Five Months Later
Emily PoV
    I was in Declan's room putting away his clothes when I heard footsteps at the doorway, I turned around and I saw Aaron who had just come back from a case that I had to sit out on due to a doctor's appointment. I smiled and he came in as I continued putting clothes away.
"Where are the boys?" He asked
"Jack is at Grayson's before the soccer game this afternoon, and Declan is with the tutor in the boy's playroom" I explained and grabbed the laundry basket then went into Jack's room to put his clothes away too.
"How was your doctor's appointment?" Aaron asked as he sat on his son's bed.
"It actually got moved to tomorrow, Dr. Gates had a family emergency, his wife went into labor, how ironic right" I joked as Declan walked in.
"Hi Mom, Hi D- Aaron. What are you guys doing in Jack's room?" The blonde boy asked.
"I'm just folding clothes, I put some clothes out for you on your bed why don't you go get dressed for Jack's soccer game, we are going to have to leave soon," I suggested and he smiled then was off to his room.
"Damn, he's such a good kid!" Aaron explained with a chuckle.
"So is Jack, and this one will be too" I replied and looked at my small bump.
Aaron PoV
I gently placed one of my hands on Emily's small stomach and I smiled up at her. She pushed by me going into our room to finish putting laundry away before heading out to Jack's game. She got dressed into a white oversized sweater covering her bump and black leggings. As I sat on the bed I couldn't help but stare at her.
"What?" She asked. Damn she ceases to amaze me everyday.
"Nothing, just-nothing" I smiled and got up to change my shirt. I changed into a blue t-shirt and grabbed a heavy jacket knowing it would be snowy on our way to the sportsplex.
"Don't forget your jacket" I whisper in Emily's ear, leading her to give out a chuckle. She grabbed her black jacket then she Declan and I headed for the car. On the forty-five minute ride to the game Declan fell asleep and Emily and I held hands the entire time.
"So I might have done something" I started and Emily shot me a look, "the look".
"What did you do" She asked as she turned her face to me.
"So I possibly might have slipped to Garcia that your next doctor's appointment was finding out the gender and she is now in the process of planning our gender reveal party" I explained and Emily shot me another look, the "are you serious, what the hell look".
"You know I love Penelope, but you also know that I didn't want anything big, I didn't even want a baby shower, remember when we told the boys, we said nothing big, no parties, nothing" I heard her sigh then look out the window.
I did remember when we told the boys, and I remember why we agreed to nothing big, because of what happened with Declan the night we told the boys. I felt like such an idiot.
Four Months and Three Days Ago
"So boys we have some news" I started and Emily smiled at me then turned her attention to the boys.
"What is it?" Jack asked with a smile on his face that was extremely contagious.
"Emily is pregnant, and you both are going to have a baby sister or brother" I explained and Declan's small smile turned into a straight face.
"I hope it's another brother, Declan and I can teach him to play soccer!" Jack exclaimed and Declan stayed quiet.
"We need more girls in this house" Emily laughed and tickled Jack's stomach.
"Can I use the bathroom?" Declan asked and Emily and I nodded our heads in unison. About an hour later Emily went to the store and I was laying on the couch watching the news while the boys were upstairs. I heard small footsteps behind the couch and quickly turned to see Declan with his backpack on.
"Declan, where are you going?" I asked with concern, jumping up and walking over to him. He broke down into tears and ran upstairs leaving his backpack behind, I quickly figured out what he was doing and told Emily as soon as she got home.
"So he packed his bag with clothes?" Emily asked
"Yeah Em, I think he was trying to run away " I responded and ran my hand up and down her arm. She stood there silently with a puzzled look on her face and I could tell we were both thinking the same thing "why would he want to run away?"
"I'll be back" Emily said then she walked upstairs and I followed behind her listening from the hallway.
"Hey, can we talk?" I heard Emily ask.
"Sure" Declan replied quietly
"So Aaron told me you packed a bag and tried to leave. Why did you try and run away?" She replied and Declan stayed quiet for a minute.
"I-I thought you didn't want me anymore, you're having a baby. I thought that since you're having a baby and Aaron has Jack that you don't want another person to take care of" Declan explained and I know that both my heart and Emily's sank in that moment.
"Nothing, nothing could make him and I not want you. You are our son, and you are a part of our family, and nothing and no one can ever replace you. Declan-" Emily started and I walked into the room and sat on the bed on the other side of Declan.
"Your mom is right Declan, you're a part of this family and that will never change" I said.
"We, love you with all of our hearts, kid" I added and brought them into a hug.
Present Day
    Before I could speak Emily got out of the car and opened Declan's door to softly wake him up.
