I got out of the bed and put my Tims back on.
"So you really goin to look for her?" Nelle asked.
"I wouldn't be going if she wasn't pregnant with my child" she rolled her eyes. I went up to her and kiised her.
"I'll be back later. I promise"
"Be safe" she said.
"Always" I walked out of her room and down the stairs. Alonzo was there waiting for me.
"You ready B?" he asked.
"Yee leggo" he grabbed his keys and hopped in his truck before pulling off.
"So where you think she at man cause ion know where to start" I said.
"The news said the shit happened over there on 163rd so maybe we needa start on that side of town"
"What the hell is wrong with her man?"
"I could ask you the same question" he said.
"What you mean?"
"Nigga you know what the fuck I'm talkin bout. You bein all hugged up with Nelle when you know you're engaged" he glanced at me before looking back to the road.
"Man ima be honest wit you cause we homies. Ian been happy lately man?"
"What you mean?"
"Like ever since you and Tay got married it just aint been the same with Ari. She get on my ass about every little thing, she dont cook, she dont clean, hell she cant even work the washong machine. But I tried to put up with her ass for the sake of our baby ya know?"
"I feel you" he said.
"So when Nelle came back its like all my feelings for Ari disappeared and went over to her"
"Or maybe you just never lost feelins for her"
I sighed. "Maybe"
We drove to up and down 163rd and didnt find Ariane. We drove through the park and she wasn't there either.
"Where the fuck is this girl at?" he said.
"Hol up hol up. Slow down real quick" I said.
He did and I saw Ari laying out on the ground.
"Oh shit"
Alonzo parked the car and we both got out and ran over to her. Alonzo checked for a pulse.
"Man we got to get her to hospital. She barely breathing" he said.
"Dammit Ari man." I picked her up, carried her to the truck and put her in the backseat.
"Where's the closest hospital I asked him.
"143rd street. Jackson Memorial"
"Hurry up and get us there. I dont want her to lose the baby"
He crunk up the car and sped off to Jackson Memorial.
"Lord please let them make it" i said a silent prayer.
