"Pahiram ng notes, Paisley."

I continued writing my review and did not even bother to look at her. "What subject?"

"GenMath tapos Earth Science sana." Genuinely, she smiled at me.

"Here. Just return it after," then I handed her my handouts.

Napangiti naman ito. "Thank you, Pais! Maaasahan ka talaga! Sorry sa istorbo."

I let out a sigh. It disgusts me tremendously when someone call me by that nickname. I like the longer version of my name, Paisley, over shorter ones like Pais. Also, we're not even close to coming up with odd nicknames for me. It bothers me a lot and is disrespectful, lalo na, there isn't anyone I can be friends with.

She sits next to me and frequently ask for my notes. Given our long-standing history of being in the same classes since junior high, she was no longer reluctant to borrow my notes even though the school year had just begun.

The bell rang, signaling our lunch. Everyone in my class began to rush for the cafeteria. Ganiyan talaga sila, nagpapaunahan sa pila. Fortunately, I have brought my own baon with me, kaysa makipagsiksikan sa masikip na pila. I grabbed my food pouch and walked out of the classroom. I'd rather eat on the bench since it has less exposure of people around, fewer students mean I could eat in tranquility, free from any interruption.

This has been my go-to schedule ever since I was in elementary level due to enduring years of bullying and isolation. Inaamin ko, my only other companions are my own blooded sisters. Hindi ko alam ang magiging takbo ng buhay ko without them.

I had barely finished eating when my phone vibrated with a message from my siblings.

I mute the group conversation and switched off my phone. Laviana is no longer a minor, thus it is understandable why she behaves in such a way. I threw away my waste once I finished eating. Suddenly, my phone vibrated out of nowhere. I saw Laviana's SMS message.

From: Laviana S.
Sumama ka na kasi, minsan lang naman mag-party eh.

To: Laviana S.
I don't like social gatherings.
