AUTHOR'S NOTES:
The beginning of this story is loosely inspired by Tracy Chevalier's novel 'Girl With A Pearl Earring'.
I use artistic license to put my own spin on Marvel's Loki, and Norse mythology. This includes The World Tree; in this story, each world is more like a country on a globe—so that the characters can travel from one to the other using conventional methods (no spaceships in my story😅).
This story is set before Thor 1, and has no relation to the movie plots.
In this story, Loki is a young man and is still practicing his magic (he cannot read minds, speak all languages, and can only manage simple projections).
Part of this story is also available in my collection of Loki X Reader One Shots---in fact, that is where it originated, but people kept bugging me to make it its own book so here we are.
This story will contain sexually explicit content---warnings will be given---so if that's not your thing just read around those bits I guess.
