REMEMBER

You are like a dream in my head,

A sweet, sour, sad dream.
I recall you,
How far above you looked,
How I always had to raise my head to see your face,
I dream of nights filled with your smile or the way you hold me.

Do you remember the memories we shared?
The nights when we felt as though we were the only two people in the world.

I remember,
I remember the music playing in the background while we laid bare ourselves,

It was perfect,
We seemed perfect,
Lying down,
Cuddle up,
With hands roaming and searching,
It was perfect.

Till reality struck,
The bright light of daylight came,
And you had to ignore me,
Act like all those times never happened.

"This is the last time", I tell myself,
But I find myself in your arms again.

It was both enchanting and confusing,
To love deeply and yet feel so empty.

How can one man be heaven and all of hell at the same time?

With you, my heart was a constant symphony of ice and fire.

I still recall the way my stomach fires up when I hear your voice.

Do I miss you?
Maybe, maybe not.

But I just want you to know,
I still remember it all.
