3rd person POV:

It has been two weeks now since the incident.

Remus' body was found, Stephanie wasn't suspected and she's trying to have a better life, Patton has been going to therapy but is still paranoid and not the normal him just yet, he and Logan have moved in and made the house into their home, and it is the same day that they're getting their dogs.

Tuesday, January 2nd (Logan's POV)

It was 2 PM and Patton was basically jumping with excitement. We were going to a shelter to adopt any two dogs he wants.

Yes, we already got everything we needed. Dog beds, food, bowls, leashes, pee pads just in case, collars with our numbers on them, treats, etc.

We walked out of the house, locking the door behind us, and went in our car.

It was a 15 minute drive and the whole time, Patton was holding my free hand. I love this man so much.

Little things about him has changed though. For example, he used to jump out of the car and run by me after. But now he stays in the car until im by him and he's able to hold my hand.

I didn't mind at all, it just upset me to think someone hurt him so horribly. I would never with death upon anybody, im just happy Remus can't hurt my little butterfly.

But right now, my Patton is happy and that's all that matters.

We walked into the Shelter and was greeted by the worker. She had a polite smile.

Patton practically was hiding behind me, but nobody said anything about it. It was in the news, his story, she probably saw it. Most people did.

They would never bother him unless saying how brave he is. We even started a Kickstarter to help Patton.

It was mostly to help for our house and other things he needed/ wanted to make sure he's safe and happy. We've raised so much money as well, it warms mine and Patton's heart to know people wanted good for him.

But once I talked to the lady, she brought us to the back. Me and Patton headed towards the dogs.

There were so many different breeds. Most of them loved Patton, who doesn't though?

After half an hour, Patton picked a really energetic one, we were told it was a Pomeranian and corgi mix. She was small and full of energy.

Then there was an Australian shepherd Pomeranian mix. She was in the corner, away from everyone.

When choosing her, Patton whispered to me. "She seems alone and scared. She needs a happy home with a happy sister. "

My heart actually melted. And after a few.. A lot of minutes, we got the leashes that we got for them (one purple and the other pink) and put them on the puppies.

We put them in the back of the car and they were both so good about it. No accidents and they both laid together on the seats. They already loved each other so much.

Once we got home, Patton held the shy puppy and I held the more excited one. We walked inside and put them in the doggy room we set up for them. It had two water bowls, comfortable blankets, two doggy beds, a small chair that we never used but didn't wanna throw away, a box of toys, and the food and treats were in the closet that was in the room.

Patton wanted to spoil them and make them feel safe in a new environment. We had an extra room since it's a pretty big house on the inside and we already had a guest room.
