chapter 42 Why now...?

Lia's POV:

Finally! That damn suffocating class ended! I didn't even get to understand any of the lessons because I was uneasy with Lee freaking Heeseung at the other side of our table.

Like geez... I still question my whole stupid brain for being such a forgetful person.

I tried to remember everything else the whole class that's why I was so quiet and did not listen.

"Okay class, dismissed." Our teacher said.

I then stood up and took my book with me.

"Kaja," I said.

"Yah? Wait! I'm not even done yet!" Naeun said and fixed her things as he put everything inside her bag.

"Pali," I said.

"Why are you even rushing?!" She asked in confusion as she wore her bag.

"Why do you do things so slowly?!" I asked her back.

I then saw Heeseung, Jay, Jake, and Sunghoon standing up already.

I immediately looked away and pretend that I don't see them.

"Oh? Is it because you're avoiding Hees-" I didn't make her finish her sentence and covered her mouth.

Heeseung then looked at us all of a sudden.

"Waeyo?" He asked.

I then smiled innocently while covering Naeun's mouth hard.

"Ehe. Nothing." I said and smiled at him.

He then turned around and continue to walk out of the room.

I then removed my hand from Naeun's mouth.

"Aish. My lip balm is smeared!" She said wiping her lips.

"Now I know why Jake hates the hell out of you," I told her then she rolled her eyes at me.

She finally stood up after that then the two of us went out of the classroom.

We then headed to our lockers to drop off the books we used earlier.

"Ah... Today is quite peaceful." I said and opened my locker.

Suddenly, I saw something falling from Naeun's locker.

She picked it up and took almost 9 letters inside her locker.

She looked at me with wide eyes.

"Not again..." She said in frustration making me laugh.

As we say... A lot of people like us in school. Not only on the 8th-grade level but from the 7th grade, 9th grade, and 10th grade and some are the college students from the other half of school that send letters via their close students in this high school premises.

All 7 of us receive lots of letters every week!

Same with the people out of our group. Those are Sunghoon, Jay, Jungwon, Sunoo, and others.

"How about you?" She asked.

"Nothing," I said confidently.

"Hope all." She said and put the letters in her locker again.

"There is even food here." She said.

"Eat it," I said then she took it with her.

"Wait. I'll just retouch." I said and took my lip and cheek tint.

Naeun looked at me with wide eyes and put her hand against my neck.

"Are you sick?" She asked.

"Aniyo," I said and fixed myself.
