The match against Karasuno pressed on with intensity, each rally keeping the crowd on the edge of their seats. However, Yuna took the opportunity to step out of the gymnasium during the break before the second set resumed. She needed a moment to check her phone, hoping for any updates regarding Tooru's condition.
But before she could even unlock her screen, a familiar voice called out to her.
"Yu-chan~!"
She turned towards the sound and, to her surprise, saw Tooru Oikawa himself walking toward the gym, a casual grin on his face.
"Tooru?" She blinked in disbelief and quickly met him halfway. "What are you doing here?"
He dramatically lifted his leg and wiggled it in the air. "I got the all-clear! I can play now." His grin widened. "The second half of the set should be starting soon, right?"
Yuna nodded slowly, eyeing him for any signs of discomfort. "Yeah, it should..." She hesitated for a moment before sighing in resignation, a small smile tugging at her lips. "I know better than to nag you about resting, so I won't bother."
He chuckled, clearly amused. "Good choice. Besides, I'm not jumping in just yet. I just want to observe Karasuno for the rest of this set. Should be enough time to get a feel for their weaknesses."
Yuna hummed in understanding and nodded. Together, they walked back toward the gym, but instead of heading directly to the team's bench where the coaches were stationed, they quietly positioned themselves off to the side. With all eyes locked on the ongoing game, their presence went mostly unnoticed.
The shrill sound of the referee's whistle signalled the continuation of the set, and the two immediately focused on the court. Yuna's attention remained on her own team, carefully noting their positioning and energy levels. Meanwhile, Tooru had his gaze fixed solely on Karasuno, sharp eyes scanning their every move, analyzing them with the precision of a seasoned strategist.
After a few moments of silent observation, Tooru finally spoke, a knowing smirk tugging at his lips. "Their weak links are number six and number five."
Yuna immediately recognized the players he was referring to. "Tsukishima and Hinata," she murmured, glancing at him for confirmation.
He nodded, his eyes twinkling with mischief. "Exactly."
"How?" she questioned, her brow furrowing in curiosity.
Without a word, Tooru crouched slightly beside her, resting a hand on her shoulder as he subtly pointed toward the court. "Just watch carefully when the ball gets sent to their side," he instructed.
As if on cue, the opposing team launched the ball toward Karasuno's court. Yuna's gaze followed it intently as Tsukishima moved to receive it. The moment the ball made contact with his forearms, he staggered slightly, his footing momentarily unsteady.
