The "almost kiss"

Y/N POV:
I woke up to a worried Ron starting at me I got up and saw that my head was a bit bloody from the hit. "Blood hell! Are you okay?!" Ron said looking concerned, "fine thank you" I replied even tho it hurt really bad, "sorry y/n I didn't know I could hit that hard." Hermione said looking guilty, "it's okay Hermione, I should have been paying attention." I said with a slight smile. As Ron helped me up Fred said "why weren't you paying attention anyways y/n?"With a smirk in his face, "yeah, why weren't you? Hmmm?" Said George sarcastically thinking. I rolled my eyes and kept quiet as Ron's face got red. "Oh shut up, I was trying to fix my broom, something was wrong with it." I lied "ohhhh mhm okay." Fred said with a wink "I'll take you to the bathroom to clean you up." Ron said taking my hand "yeah, thanks" I said trying not to blush. As he led me up to the bathroom I was a rubbed the side of my head that hurt and once we got to the bathroom Ron picked me up and sat me on the counter I got butterflies, he was going through the medicine cabinet and he was still shirtless from the match and I couldn't keep my eyes off of him and his abs. I felt his eyes look at me and I immediately looked away wondering if he saw me starting, I felt my face turn red and I was silent he looked back at the medicine cabinet but I kept my eyes off of him, "found it!" He said as he grabbed a bottle

Ron's POV:
I brought her upstairs and sat her on the counter I started to look through the medicine cabinet and as I looked back at her she was practically staring, I forgot I was shirtless for a bit and as I looked at her she quickly looked away and her face got red I wanted her to keep staring though, I looked back into the medicine cabinet "I found it!" I said as I grabbed a bottle "mum used to put this on us when we got all scraped up when were little" I said with a smile "it might burn... here squeeze my hand if it hurts" I said as I handed her my hand she put her hands into hers and smiled, once her hand touched mine i felt my face blush, I slowly poured the medicine onto her cut as I felt her squeeze my hand hard I stopped pouring it "I know, it's gonna hurt for a bit..sorry" I told her "it's fine it's not your fault" y/n said she stared at me and I wasn't thinking I started to slowly go in for a kiss closing my eyes...

Y/N POV:
He leaned forward and closed his eyes, OMG WAS HE ABOUT TO KISS ME?! no he doesn't like you...or maybe...you started to close you eyes leaning in until you were so close to kissing him until you heard Ginny yell "LUNCH IS READY!" he opened his eyes and immediately let go of my hand backing up as to give me space considering the fact we were so close to each other. My face turned red at the thought of us kissing, Ron cleared his throat "oh...uh lunch, how exciting..." he said walking out quickly. I wish Ginny had called us just a minute later, I could've had my first kiss! I walked down stairs to see everyone sitting at the table already eating, and of course the only open seat was next to Ron, I sat down trying not to make eye contact with him. I ate my sandwich anxiously hoping Ron didn't bring up the fact that we almost kissed about a minute ago, luckily he didn't and instead kept to himself. After lunch I headed up stairs when someone grabbed my hand I turned to see Ron " hey y/n...can I ask you something...?" He said nervously "oh uhm sure..." I said feeling butterflies in my stomach already, "so uh...there's this girl, I fancy her a lot but I don't know how to tell her...how do I tell her?" He asked. I felt the same butterflies fade away as he said those words, they broke my heart knowing he fancied someone another girl, of course he didn't fancy YOU who would... "oh uh well I think if you really fancy her then you should ask her to hogsmade and buy her a...butter beer I guess." I said trying to sound as casual as possible without crying. "Okay so hogsmade and butter beer, I think I could make that work." He said "thanks y/n your a great friend" he said walking away smiling. damn it there it was. That word "friend" it made me feel bad about myself. Once I got to ginny's room luckily no one was in there because I don't think I would be able to hold back my tears anymore. I shut the door and lied on the bed with my head into the pillow. I couldn't hold it in anymore, I started to cry, I must have been crying for a while because ginny and hermionie came in saying "hey y/n it's time for dinner.." "oh...are you okay? Hermionie asked coming to sit on the bed with me "fine." I said wiping tears off my face "was it my dumb git brother Ron?!" Ginny said sitting down facing me with a bit of a frustrated face. "yeah.." I said quietly, "what's wrong..?" Hermionie said comforting me "well earlier when Ron took me up to the bathroom, we almost kissed..." I said nervous they were gonna over exaggerate, which is exactly what they did "WHAT?! AHHHH" hermionie screamed "WAIT ALMOST?! WHO RUINED IT! I SWEAR IF IT WAS THE TWINS IM GONNA KILL THEM" Ginny said looking a bit angry "it was you Ginny, when you called for lunch..." I said "oh...sorry" Ginny said a bit guilty I nodded my head as to accept ginny's apology. "Well let's go, dinners ready." Hermionie said grabbing my hand.
