As Marinette entered her classroom, she noticed the mayor's daughter in her seat. Inside she felt enraged, as a street kid, she never actually let anyone touch her things. But on the outside, she had to keep her cool and at like she was shy and nervous talking to her, it was part of her not-from-any-other-country act

Okay, that didn't go so well. She couldn't fight Chloe due to the fact that she had to keep up the charade but she didn't really want to give up her seat. Sighing in defeat, she sat next to the new girl who immediately introduced herself as Alya Césaire, Marinette, so lost in her thoughts immediately responded with, "Em-Marinette, Marinette Dupain-Cheng. Pleasure to meet you."

Marinette sensed her aura, it was one of wanting to stick up for what was right and trusting herself into dangerous situations, but her aura wasn't one that she really trusted. However, she couldn't not befriend her seeing as she had to keep up her shy girl act. Marinette hated the shy girl act, it made her look defenseless, like she couldn't defend herself.

She even had to keep up the shy girl act in front of her sister, it was ridiculous. Jason had taught her enough self-defense to last her a lifetime, it wasn't her fault that her new parents wanted her to have a shy girl act in order to disguise the fact that she wasn't French. She found most French girls annoying, gushing over the model, Adrien Agrest (%$#& his surname).

Adrien was good-looking she had to admit but she would never gain a crush on a stupid boy that didn't seem to be able to protect himself, if his bodyguard was ever a hint. She knew that if she wanted to act normal, she had to have a crush. Marinette wasn't stupid, she knew that all the girls in the class had a crush on somebody. It was all in their auras.

Marinette looked around the room, thinking. She thought back to the abandoned apartment she used to live in, she thought back to the times she would laugh and joke with Jason. Her thoughts were broken by Alya chatting away beside her. "I think that Batman is one of the best heroes actually, although Wonder Woman is so cool as well."

Marinette frowned, Batman, he was the one who took Jason away from her. She continued to ignore Alya's continuous chattering about superheroes and thought back to the package Jason had left for her 14th birthday. Marinette kept hoping that she would see her brother during the past 5 years she had been in Paris.

"-nette, Marinette are you even listening?" Marinette was rudely snapped out of her thoughts yet again by Alya yet again. Marinette nodded silently at the rather annoying girl. Alya, who seemed to be satisfied with the nod continued with her rant about the Justice League, which seemed to be rather endless.

Marinette decided to pitch into the conversation at that point, "personally, I don't really like Batman," she said, "I think The Flash is quite cool though." The Flash was Jason's favorite hero she remembered. He would go on about how cool Flash was, it was quite funny really, people thought he was rather unapproachable. But really, he was a giant teddy bear.

He also really liked literature, he was a literature nerd. She loved to listen to him go on and on about Shakespeare and literature, Alya reminded her of him, except instead of literature, all she really talked about superheroes. She told Marinette that she wanted to pursue a job in journalism, Mari thought that her dream was rather unrealistic.

No offence to Alya or anything but Marinette thought that Alya would probably die before she became a actual reporter, seeing as her aura did tell Mari that she loved to rush into danger if it gave a story to report, almost like Lois Lane did, although Lois was definitely more careful. Plus she had Superman and Superboy taking care of her.

School was nearly over and Marinette couldn't be more happy, although Ivan, one of her classmates, was sent to the principal's office. She didn't really know what happened to cause it, something about Kim teasing Ivan and Ivan losing his temper, she thought it was rather unfair, getting sent to the principal's office for being teased.

Chloe was also rather upset, her 'adrikins' hadn't gone to school that day. She felt sorry towards the poor boy, having Chloe as one of his friends, she was really insufferable. Marinette looked out of the window as her teacher, Madame Bustier, taught the rest of her class. Jason had taught her this back on the streets, so it was rather easy for her.

Just as she thought the day couldn't get any worse, a loud roar could be heard just beyond the window. "KIM!" Great, just great, she just had to jinx it. It had happened before, the day of the raid as an example. She looked around, most of the students were running out of classroom on Madame Bustier, rather stupid sending them outside she thought but followed anyways.
