The reyes sat both Raven and her on the couch, they looked nervous and James was pacing around- spill it out! -Raven finally yelled clearly annoyed, they have been sitting there for the past ten minutes in complete silence, James took a deep breath and gave them a soft smile
-So a few months ago we were picking some papers at the orphanage- oh no-and this kid, well not so kid came to us and well we offered to foster him...- she glanced at raven whose expression was unreadable
-his name is Alex, he's seventeen and he'll be staying with us for a year-Laura explained and they both nodded-what do you think?
-humm...it's good i guess next time maybe tell us before the kid shows up- raven snapped and earning a sigh from james- look i'm okay with it and you both know it -they smiled and looked at clarke
-I...I guess is okay- she said giving then a tight smile- when is he coming
-right, we'll pick him up tomorrow
-but i leave tomorrow!!
-we know Raven but you can meet him when you get back
-fine, you better send me pictures of him clarkie she joked lightening the mood
it's clear that they still had a lot of questions but james told them they'll discuss everything else later which is his way to say fuck off im tired
...
the next they they dropped raven at the airport and headed to pick up alex

she sighed at the sight of the orphanage, she wondered if she could see Octavia but she was probably sleeping by now besides it wasn't friday which meant no visits- so i guess we are here- James said nervously
-right you want me to wait in the car or should I--
-come with us- he interrupted smiling, she nodded and they walked inside, the tension was clear and she wondered if it was the same environment when they adopted Raven or her
after a while Alex finally emerged from the hallway, he had dirty blond hair and stormy blue eyes, he was already carrying his bags and his smile was minimal but clear for everyone to notice
-hi- he simply said and directed his gaze to clarke- raven...no clarke right? -he asked and she nodded smiling softly
-yeah and I suppose you're Alex right?
-that's me- he smiled
-so guys why don't you go and hang out while we end with the paperwork- James said pulling some bills out of his wallet and haddeling them to clarke
