Roswaal Mathers was a talented person and was quite up high in social classes of nobility, he was someone who would do  everything it would take to accomplish where it to be prosperity of a certain person it would be a easy enough to do so as he has many assets and more than intelligent enough to do what's good... too bad that he obsessed her of all people. Neither he was expecting changes of such magnitude and neither will he take any risks on any bumps towards his obsession it was his goal and him having magic that he hasn't known

It was just a small setback for his goals, no matter what he will see it to seek it to finish it, it was was he himself wished, all other problems are second to those, if he wanted to go forward with that situation then it would have been Shirou Emiya, despite someone who looked like he knew where he was going into, there were times that could be seen that of someone who obviously don't know about the subject but the way he hid his surprise was well-made, most of his observation were carefully hidden in that façade of his,

He seemed to don't have needs like those of regular person, moves like someone who was well-trained in combat and seemed to be assessing the dangers of the people in front of him. Despite being someone of who has a warm attitude towards others, he looked at others as if a Mother Hen as if goading others in to what they might react,

Someone who seemed to react to situations and is quite good in it, as soon as he noticed that part of the wards protecting the village has been reported to be missing he immediately sprang into questions regarding the situation towards the parts of the village, while it was indeed good that this person was intelligent and smart enough to do handle the situation which he could praise for,

But he didn't wanted that, thought that may have been bad but that wasn't  what he wanted as  he wanted something much more easier to manipulate to something he could  direct in order to achieve his goals, though with his unique magic of his that Roswaal Mathers hasn't seen from during his times or his descendants, he asked for Beatrice's opinion of his power, and she says though his magic was unique and destructive, it wasn't something special but she believed it's better wait and see than underestimate his potential. She says so with a glimmer of hope in her eyes.

Roswaal Mather notes of this and begins to change plots and schemes for the upcoming election.
