A small continuation of the previous chapter. Please think about this as you go about your day.

What unites us is far greater than what divides us.

Let me say it again.

What unites us, is far greater than what divides us.

God is what unites us all. He made us all. He loves us all. He wants the best for us all. Some of His children have strayed and rebelled..And we have the opportunity to love them when they are far from being able to feel the love of God.

No amount of toilet seat up or down, masks on or masks off, Democrat or Republican type arguments can ever truly tear us from God. We can always come back.

Why, why are we letting these things tear us from one another?

"Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one mind and purpose."
— ‭‭Philippians‬ ‭2:2‬ ‭

Like I said in the previous chapter, unity.

No matter how argumentative someone wants to be, how rude they are to you about your political stance, your career choice, your opinion on abortion...

you can smother their flames of fury with love. If it is truly toxic, then leave. But still love. Line your will up with Gods and remain peaceful, kind, forgiving, and non-argumentative. Love as Jesus would love.

It will hurt. But that kind of love may soften their hearts over time. You don't have to subject yourself to torment after torment, you are not a doormat to be stepped on. But you are a child of God called to love. Speak the truth, offer love, and quietly, kindly depart if they can not receive it.

It might not be you who opens a heart up to God, but you can soften the soil when they see how you react differently than the world says we should.  Someone after you may plant the seed. Someone else may grow them. A team effort, in unity.

They will know us by our love!
