Sakari's POV
Later that night we were all sitting around eating some dinner; Aang was sitting apart from us, when Katara came out of the house with a scroll.
"I have a surprise!" She announced.
"I knew it! I knew you had a secret thing with Haru!" Toph shouted, making the rest of us look at her in confusion.
"Uh... No." Katara said. "I was looking for cooking pots in the attic and I found this."
Katara unrolled the scroll to reveal a painting of an adorable little baby.
"Look at baby Zuko!" Katara stated.
"Aw, isn't he just the cutest." I cooed, squeezing Zuko's cheek, making everyone else laugh.
"Oh, lighten up, we're just teasing." Katara told him.
"That's not me." Zuko stated. "That's my father."
"But he looks so sweet and innocent." Suki stated as Katara rolled up the scroll.
"Well, that sweet little kid grew up to be a monster." Zuko replied. "And the worst father in the world."
"But he's still a human being." Aang stated from his spot away from us.
"Are you defending him?" I asked, raising my brow at the young Avatar.
"No, I agree with you. Fire Lord Ozai is a horrible person, and the world would probably be better off without him, but there's gotta be another way." Aang told us.
"Like what?" Zuko asked.
"I don't know." Aang stated. "Maybe we can make some big pots of glue and then I can use gluebending to stick his arms and legs together so-"
"I'm gonna stop you right there, Aang." I interrupted. "Gluebending?"
"It could work." Aang said.
"No, it won't." I stated, completely shutting his idea down.
"This goes against everything I learned from the monks." Aang explained, pacing in front of us. "I can't just go around killing people I don't like."
"Sure, you can! You're the Avatar." Sokka stated. "If it's in the name of keeping balance, I'm pretty sure the universe will forgive you."
"This isn't a joke, Sokka!" Aang yelled, rounding on us. "None of you understand the position I'm in!"
"Aang, we do understand." Katara stated. "It's just-"
"Just what, Katara?" Aang said angrily.
"We're trying to help!" Katara yelled.
"Then you figure out a way to beat the Fire Lord without taking his life!" Aang shouted, storming away from us.
"Aang, don't walk away from this." Katara told him, attempting to go after him.
"Let him go, Katara." Zuko stated, grabbing her shoulder and holding her back. "He needs time to sort it out by himself."
"Yeah, he'll be fine." I said, smiling at my sister. "Now, how about we all get some sleep."
I linked Zuko's arm in mine and we made our way to the bedroom we had claimed as ours, laying on the bed once we got there.
"Do you think he can do it?" I asked while fiddling with my necklace.
"What?" Zuko asked, taking hold of my hand to stop me from fiddling.
