•Chapter 21

Saturday

-----March 7th-----

Cedric's POV

Before I knew it I was sitting in the hospital wing, on the opposite side of Eric.

He had been pleading his case to the nurse non-stop for the past couple minutes. I chose to stay quiet and explain myself later. No hate to her, but what is the nurse going to do about it?

I looked down at my bloody hands, I had cuts all over them. The blood was dripping from them dripped onto my rings so I carefully slide them off.

A group of people walked in the door and over to Eric. It was Y/n and her friends. Y/n stayed back while everyone else was catering to Eric.

She then noticed me and ran over

Once she got close enough she whisper yelled at me, "Cedric, what the fuck were you thinking?"

"Honestly, I don't know. He was mouthing off about you and I and how you were a slut and-"

"Wait, so you attacked him because he called me a slut?"

"Well, I mean, yes."

Her eyes widened, "I mean, well, thank you I guess." She furrowed her brown in confusion, "but yet again, that's not reason to go full on and attack him. He literally has a broken nose and missing teeth."

"Oh shit" I lightly laughed to myself.

She snapped her fingers at me. "Ced! Now is not the time to be laughing!"

"Okay, okay I'm sorry. I just couldn't let him talk about you that way."

"I can defend myself perfectly fine, but also fuck Eric and his opinions. Don't let him bother you that much."

I smiled at her and Madam Pomfrey walked up to us

"Well Mr. Diggory, it seems like you have only a couple deep cuts but besides that you made out very well, Heath wise." She set a water filled bowl and a towel down next to me. "Just rinse them off with some water and you should be fine."

"Oh, okay, thank you."

Not long after that Mc gonagall walked up, "Ms. Malfoy do you mind giving me and Mr. Diggory a moment alone? I believe your brother is over there."

"Oh yeah, of course I'll just go over there then." Y/n winked at me and walked over to her brother and Chris.

"Before you say anything I'm very sorry, and I know this doesn't excuse-"

"It's okay Mr Diggory. I've been informed on what had happened, since you weren't the one who had instigated this so called fight, the only punishment I will be giving you is detention after school for the next week."

I was relieved, "Thank you so much Professor, it won't happen again."

She nodded and walked away.

I picked up the wet towel that Madam Pomfrey gave me, and started washing off the cuts that were on my face and my hands.

Soon my face was rinsed off and I began placing bandages on the cuts.

Once I was bandaged up I rinsed my rings off in the bowl of water sitting next to the bed and placed them in my pocket.

Before walking out, I passed Eric who had a swarm of girls around him. He looked over to me causing all the girls to look too.

"Just wait until my father hears about this Diggory."

"Trust me I'm looking forward to it." I winked at him and flipped him off.

I felt an arm push mine down. "Ced, he just wants a reaction out of you" Y/n whispered in my ear.

She wrapped her arm around my waist and I wrapped mine over her shoulders. "Hope your nose feels better Eric." She said in a sarcastic tone

"So you can talk shit but I can't?" I laughed.

She scoffed, "You've done quite enough 'talking' for today Pretty boy."

Y/n's POV

"You've done quite enough 'talking' for today Pretty boy." I looked up at his face that was covered in small cuts.

It's crazy to think about how much this man actually cares about me. He risked so much, just because Eric called me some name.

As I was staring into his eyes I noticed a hand waving in between our heads.

"Earth to Y/n." 

It was Blair and she had just snapped out of whatever trance I was in.

"Yes?"

She rolled her eyes, "We still have to study"

"Oh yeah, I forgot."

"I leave you two to talk." Blair said and she walked away.

I looked back over to Cedric,"Wanna meet up later?"

"Sure, Astronomy tower?" He asked.

"Yea, does seven work?"I asked.

He nodded,"I'll see you then."

He winked at me while he walked out.

I looked back over to Blair who had her arms around Luke's shoulders and was about to jump onto his back. "Ready to head out?"

"We're just waiting on Serena."

"I'll wait for her, you guys can head over there and start working."

"Okay, thanks Y/n." Blair jumped onto Luke's back and he walked her out of the room.

I walked up to the side of the bed to see Serena standing in what looked like a line to talk to Eric.

After Eric and I broke up he started hanging out with Ava and became quite popular.

"Hey S, are you still down to study?"

"Yes, of course I am. I just have to talk to Eric first."

"Serena you're his sister, just push through all his so called fan girls."

"Smart." She said as she pushed her way through the crowd.

"Hey little bro how you doing?"

Eric's fan girls walked away out of boredom, Serena noticed this and finally stopped the fake nice act.

I walked behind a curtain to avoid Eric seeing me.

"Well I'm doing pretty-"

She interrupted Eric by slapping him

"God what the fuck was that for!" He yelled at her.

"For one, picking a fight with Cedric and two, calling my best friend a slut and a whore."

"Look Serena, it was a mistake I really didn't mean it."

"Oh well that makes me feel so much better Eric! Really, thank you so much!" She said sarcastically. "And by the way, I've already told Mom everything that happened."

"You did what!" He exclaimed.

"You heard me, I told mom. She's pretty pissed so if I were you I would call off your dumbass plan for dad to 'punish' Cedric."

"Fine." He said in a defeated voice.

"You also have some blood right here." She licked her finger and rubbed it against his cheek.

"Serena stop!" He whined.

"Come on we gotta go." I whispered into her ear and grabbed her arm.

"Yea I know." she looked down at the floor and grabbed her bag. 

We both walked out of the room and back over to the library, where we met up with Blair and Luke.
