Draco Malfoy and Sloane MacDevitt were inseparable childhood friends. Inseparable, that is, until Sloane gets sorted into Gryffindor and Draco leaves her behind. Every year at Hogwarts, the memories grow more and more distant until Draco heads down...
Hi! So I just wanted to explain my thought process with this story a little and include some character pics!
The Prologue was written to be a tiny backstory about how Draco and Sloane became friends. 1-5, I wrote basically screen-accurate (here's where I write in a disclaimer that all rights belong to J.K. Rowling, and to the brilliant creators of the films!). 1-5 are what happened at Hogwarts in Sloane's POV, as if they were "Distant Memories" (haaa, see what I did there?) of her experiences, many scenes written based off what happened and was said in the movies if I found it important to her life at Hogwarts.
Once we get to Year 6, it'll still follow along with the story as accurately as possible, but this is when the more fan-fiction stuff gets introduced, so the events that happen will be less canon! This is also where "present" time Sloane begins, and adult content will start. Instead of recalling and sharing memories, it'll be written as if she's experiencing it right then and there. Think: diary entry vs real thoughts as they happen.
