Three Days Later
It has been three long days since Y/N last saw the Adeptus. Although time in Teyvat was short, and days would pass fast, it seemed to go slower for the girl since she met Xiao.
In a span of three days, she had tried all the possible things she could do in order to get the Adeptus to show up. She even stayed behind and refused to join her two friends in exploring, who were quite confused as to why the girl had declined when she was so excited to travel when they first met.
Y/N also had asked her parents and the other workers if they had seen the guardian recently, but all she got was the same bitter reply, 'No'.
"Don't worry. He'll show up when you need him." Her mother's words from yesterday rang in her head, making the young girl frown.

Her whole body froze, as her eyes widened. Slowly, she turns to face where the voice came from. Just like what he did when they met at the balcony.
Her lips trembled, and her eyes welled up with tears. "You!" She exclaims, before she ran towards him and pulled him into a hug. "Don't... Don't disappear on me again!"
Xiao glares at her, before attempting to remove her hands that were wrapped around his waist, but she only hugged him tighter as a result. She silently sobbed on his chest, and all the Adeptus could do was to pat her in the head comfortingly.
"You're so dramatic."
"Eye just missed wu." She mutters incoherently, burying her face deeper in his chest. "Wu smell good."
"It's only been three days. And you don't even know me well. You can't miss me." He says, ignoring her second statement.
She removes her face from his chest, looking up to glare at him. "Don't tell me what I can or can't feel."
It's only been three days.
"Morax!" She suddenly exclaims, her mood changing drastically. "You've been counting the days too!"
"No, I have not. Don't be delusional." He lies. Truth be told, he did count the days. No matter how much he hated to admit it, Xiao missed the girl he purposely avoided for a few days despite just knowing her.
