Iron husband one shots (mostly fem! Or bp! Tony.)

Its time to boss up.

James sat in front of Tony in the 24 hour coffee shop. He didn't know what to say to her, but this is the unhappiest he's ever seen her. It's unsettling, to see his best friend so unhappy.

Divorce can do that to a person. What should have been the easiest divorce turned into the messiest divorce. It should have been easy because Tiberius signed a Prenup, and Tony signed one too. But it didn't stop him from wanting to take everything that she had Because she left him.

"So are you glad It's finally over?" He asked.

Tony sighed. "I was so tired of fighting, so yes." Tony admitted.

"Why do you look so defeated?" Rhodey asked.

"Because  in this fight nobody really won. Forget the money, and the material things, I let him take so much from me, and yes, I'm grateful that he couldn't get his sticky fingers on my money or on my assets, but he took something worth more than anything money can buy, and he destroyed it, before handing it back to me on a silver platter all broken and destroyed, and i don't think I can pick up the pieces, not this time." Tony cried.  "I let him destroy me, I just watched him break me worse than I've ever been broken before and I don't know how to fix me. If I can even be fixed."

Rhodey grabbed a napkin and handed it to her.

"Dry your eyes." He told her.

She sniffled and wiped her tears away. "I dont want to hear none of that I don't think I can be fixed this time crap. Hey look at me tony, look at me" Rhodey told her.

"It's okay to be tired and sad for a while, it's okay to cry but you have been crying for too long. It's time to stop looking at the broken picture and find a new one because you loved yourself enough to leave the situation, you loved yourself enough to fight and win, that means that you love yourself enough to be a woman and pick up the pieces. Tony it's time for you to boss up, stop letting these little boys walk all over you, because that's what they are little boys that are intimidated by the woman that you are. You won, Tony, you won. Don't let anybody tell you that it's over for you , cause you are just getting started. You feel fat ,  go to gym, you feel like you need something fresh, get your hair done and go on a shopping spree, you want a change, redecorate, you got potential, and you are going to thrive Tony. You want to know why?" Rhodey asked.

"Why?" Tony asked

"Because you are one of the strongest women I know. And I love you too much too let you self destruct so I'm not about to let you."

Tony sniffled. "It's not going to be easy..."

"And i never said it was." Rhodey hummed. That seemed to wake her up.

Before they went their separate ways he pulled Tony in a hug. "I love you Tony."

"I love you too Rhodey." She whispered back.

At first he thought that his advice went in one ear and out the other Because after they had gotten coffee, Tony hadn't called or texted him, for three months.
The first few weeks he was expecting it because after something big like this she'd just lock herself away until she felt like moving on. But after the first month he would stop by and she wouldn't be home or at the office so he thought she was mad at him and he apologized so many times that he lost count. But after about a week of doing that pepper had told him that Tony had left. That she didn't know if Tony was even coming back.

But then one day while the team was training, Tony texted him.

Tony: I'm sorry for not responding, I put pepper in charge of the company and I got away for a little while, I turned off my phone so I could just get some clarity. I took your advice though, and if you aren't mad at me for not letting you know that I left, how about dinner at mine tonight?
