Kelly's POV
Nothing like the sun shining in your face at seven in the morning to wake you up, I thought bitterly, grumbling as I flipped over to face my back to the sun. I felt more than registered the fact that the blanket rested on my bare skin, and it was enough to wake me up fully, only to find that I had slept in my bikini. Slowly sitting up, I arched my back and let out a loud, obnoxious groan before smacking my lips together. I made a face then, realizing how disgusting my mouth felt.
Reluctantly, I slipped out of the comfort of my bed and dragged my bare feet towards the drawer, grabbing the things I needed to change for a shower. Then I crept across the hall to the bathroom, knowing all five of the boys were fast asleep judging by the silence that lingered in the house.
Leaving my clothes on the counter and double checking for a towel, I stripped out of my bikini and hopped into the shower, turning the water to a pleasant warm and letting the water beat on my back and head for a moment before I realized I forgot something: soap. Okay great, well there's shampoo in here. I examined the two bottles of shampoo on rack, trying to figure out which to use. Deciding on the Head and Shoulders, which was always a safe bet, I quickly lathered up my hair, feeling several grains of sand in between my fingernails.
"Okay, conditioner, I really need conditioner," I mumbled to myself, looking around. I was sure one of the boys had to have used that sort of thing; they all had such nice hair. I found a conditioner of a brand I'd never heard of. I took a cautious whiff of the smell and deemed it okay before putting some into my palm and running it through my hair.
Body wash was the worst; it was obvious that only two of the members-most likely Liam and someone else-used this bathroom since once again, there were two different types. To my dismay, they clearly were both designed for men. That is really the last thing I want, I huffed, sighing as I picked one of them up and sniffed. "Definitely Liam."
I opted for the other one, using the small towel I had found before to wash myself thoroughly, especially since I basically marinated myself in salty water last night. Fell asleep on the beach, I can't believe it, I thought distractedly. Then, for a fleeting moment, I wondered how I had gotten to bed, and if the blue-eyed Irish boy had been the one to carry me. I could feel my cheeks heating up at that, especially since I hadn't been wearing the most conservative of bikinis.
Shoving the feelings aside, I finished up and stepped out of the shower, grabbing a towel to dry off. I then threw on my grey sweats and pastel pink crop top, hung up my towel, and walked out, feeling rejuvenated. Once I was back in my room, I brushed my hair and tied it in a messy bun to keep it out of my face; with my laptop in hand, I leaned back on my pillows and opened it up, deciding to check Twitter and Tumblr.
Opening the two tabs up, I clicked on Twitter first to find I had a few thousand new followers. I scrolled through the first five of my mentions, seeing all the lovely things people were saying. One stood out to me in particular-one from @nialls_nand0s, which read:
A picture of me with the actual @Real_Liam_Payne's sister, @Real_Kelly_Payne! pic.twitter.com/mE6p0d2k
I clicked on the picture, and what do you know-there I was with the girl I had met at the airport. I felt a warm feeling in my tummy as I saw the replies to her picture, all positive things. Many were jealous she was able to take a picture with me, which I found absolutely astonishing. It was the first time I'd ever taken a picture with a fan before. I retweeted the picture from her and clicked the follow button, before I tweeted to say it was nice meeting her.
I shut the Twitter tab and revealed the familiar dark blue of the Tumblr dashboard. The first post I read was from one of my best friends from home, linking to my blog. I was unsure why, though, until I saw my messages and follower count. Like my Twitter, I had hundreds of new followers, and a couple hundred messages. I was about to open it up when I heard a faint knock on the door, followed by Liam poking his head in.
"Hey, you're up," he greeted, smiling at me in a familiar way.
"Yup," I replied, shutting my laptop closed and putting it to the side as he made himself comfortable on the edge of the bed.
"Checking Twitter?" he asked, and I nodded.
"It's amazing; I gained thousands of followers in one night! I'm not even sure how that happened, or well, I think I do. That girl we met at the airport yesterday posted that picture of me with her."
"Directioners catch on incredibly fast. It can be both a good and bad thing," Liam said wistfully, obviously thinking of something else at moment. "Do you want breakfast?"
On cue, my stomach growled since I hadn't eaten at all since the banana bread from yesterday. "Yes please."
"Good, you know where the kitchen is," he grinned, beginning to stand up.
Gaping, I quickly crawled on all fours across the bed and threw my body at him, forcing him to stay put. "Liiiiam, make me breakfast please," I whined, giving him a puppy dog looked that always worked for me when he used to still live at home.
With a defeated sigh, which I would have gloated my victory in any other situation, he offered his hand to lift me up, and we walked downstairs together. He ended up whipping up a stack of banana pancakes-if you couldn't tell, I really loved bananas-and we ate together at the table catching up a little.
When the plate was clean-excluding a small puddle of syrup-I heard creaks coming from the stairs as someone tumbled down them in a sluggish manner. Seconds later, Niall appeared with his arms stretched over his head sporting green, plaid boxers and a t-shirt.
"Aw, you already had breakfast?" he asked, his voice still sleepy as he passed to get to the fridge.
"Mmmhm, and it was good," I remarked, teasing him.
"Who cooked?"
"Liam!"
His jaw dropped. "What!" Niall exclaimed as if absolutely offended. "Liam never cooks for me! Tell me your secret Kelly."
With a cheeky smile I said, "You've got to be cute, of course." Unexpectedly, Niall grinned, but he wasn't looking at me. His eyes were focused right behind me, where Liam sat with a smirk on his face. "What am I missing?"
"Oh nothing," Liam trailed off, insinuating that whatever it was, it was anything but.
"I just think I've got plenty of cute, is all," Niall piped up, looking right at me with a slight smile on his face.
Oh God, I thought, horrified. He knows! I turned pink before sending daggers to Liam, but he was already up and ready to run. "Liam! I will kill you! What did you tell him!?" I screeched, clambering out of my seat and running after him.
"Nothing you wouldn't have told him yourself!" Liam defended, standing on one end of the couch while I stood on the other. I could hear Niall's chuckles from the kitchen, which only made me more upset.
"Liam, that's so embarrassing!" I pouted, crossing my arms over my chest in a childish manner.
"It could have been worse! I could have gone into detail about how you couldn't shut-"
I lunged for him and tackled him to the ground. "Shut up! You're such a dirty little slut!"
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, what's going on here, and why is Liam a dirty little slut?" a new voice questioned, and I froze in my beatings to Liam, craning my neck around to see who it was.
"Hey Louis," Niall greeted naturally, leaning against a wall with a full view of what was going on with Liam and I.
"Oh God, I didn't wake you did I?" I asked, taking in his tousled hair and overall disgruntled appearance.
"You might have, love," he muttered, but in good nature. "But why, may I ask, are you on top of Liam, and from the looks of it, completely beating him up?"
"Kelly's got a crush on Ni-"
I punched Liam in the gut before he could finish and stood up, brushing past Louis and Niall and stalking up the stairs in angrily. That's what I get for telling Liam shit, I fumed, slamming the door to my room and collapsing onto my bed, not hesitating to scream my frustration into the pillows.
