Memories are all that remain
Of a love that once burned bright.
Now masked,dimmed,and died.
Memories of your warm smile
Play over and over again,
Like a rondo in the night.
My eyes are stepped in you,
And my heart yearns too,
Nothing makes sense anymore,
Why do I feel so totally lost?
Unbidden tears streak down.
My heart is broken and bleeding,
It hurts,it aches so bad,
Joy will never reach my eyes,
My joyous days are ebbing down.
With the waxing dusk,
My hopes are shattering up
