Ok the title is boring but I can't think of a good title for this chapter. Ok on to the story,

Caroline's point of view:
I woke up to the doorbell ringing. "Mom get up, someone is at the door" I say shaking her and trying to wake her up as nicely as possible. It isn't Skye or May they have keys to the apartment. Mom always says I can't open the door because of who my father is. If someone were to recognize me even in the littlest I could be kidnapped.

Mom was rubbing her eyes as she was looking at me, she got out of the bed and put on a small sweater that was on her doorknob. She walked out of the room and down to the front door. I follow behind but not to close. I heard mom open the door and start talking to the person at the door.

Sophia's point of view:
I hear Caroline telling me, that there is someone at the door. I had just woken up and was still in my pajamas so I threw on my sweater and walked down the stairs to see who is at the front door. It was Natasha Romanoff. Back when I was together with Steve we were the best of friends, I was in complete shock. We haven't seen or talked to her in almost 10 years.

I let her in the apartment, I mean I didn't want to seem rude or like I was hiding something.  I mean I was hiding Caroline but she didn't know that "What are you doing here?" I asked really not wanting to know why

"I have news, Steve was injured really bad on the last mission. I thought it would be nice knowing, with your past and all." Nat said looking around my apartment, it was clean and had nothing to show Caroline besides some pictures

I was in shock Steve never got hurt, like ever. His mind must have been someone else in that moment if he got hurt. Just then I heard Caroline moving on the stairs.  I didn't even realize she was on teh steps listening in on the conversation

"Mom whos here" I hear her say as I watch her get up and come closer to me. I look at Nat and she looks shocked

"This is my friend Natasha" I say "Now how about you go upstairs and get dressed" You nod in agreement and run upstairs to your room and shut the door while you were getting dressed for the day

"Who is that" Nat asks me now being more curious.  I could have lied and said she was my neice or something but she would have seen right through my lie

I took a deep breath and looked up at her, "That is my daughter Caroline" I say hesitating and looking back upstairs to see her bedroom door closed.  I'm hoping she isn't listening through the door, she is definitely my daughter always having to be in peoples business

"Does Steve know" I mean out of everyone that knows Caroline, of course it would be Nat who sees the resemblance.

"No and you can't tell him, I don't want her in the danger he lives in." I say Nat looks mad, shocked, sad and hurt all at the same time.

"Why not, we can protect her." she said  while looking up the stairs and at your bedroom door.

"I know, but she doesn't need your protection. She is never going to be introduced to any danger that would need your protection." I say she nods in agreement but her face still saying that she could protect us.

I hear Caroline's door open and she walks down the stairs. "Mom I'm ready" you say now walking off the steps and coming closer to me

"Okay well my friend here was just leaving" I walked Nat to the front door and opened it "Send my best regards to Steve maybe I'll stop by and see how he is doing, but please don't say anything about Caroline to anyone when I want to, I will bring her to you guys and let Steve meet his daughter." I said the last part a little quieter so you couldn't hear it.  Nat nodded her head in agreement and left the apartment.

Caroline's point of view:
"Why was your friend here" I asked mom, I was curious we never have any new people around.  Mom won't let me, she only trusts certain people

"She just wanted to say hi, thats it." I knew that wasn't the truth but I wasn't going to press it.

We spent the day in the apartment. Watching movies, playing board games, and laughing as if there is no tomorrow. It was getting late and I was getting tired, I knew mom was way past tired because she had been up way longer than I had.

We both go to our rooms and sleep through the whole night.
