Campus Story

I stored up love in my heart since the day I met you.

At the campus with your messy hair and the black shirt.

I fell in love with your silhouette,

the back of you gave me butterflies.

Thought I was invisible in your world until you looked at me in the eye.

Your eyes always seemed to find me when our worlds collided for split seconds.

Silly of me to think my love has bloomed to her peak,

For we were never more than that.

Our eyes looked for each other, and our lips crooked at each other's presence.

A glance, a tiny smile, and nothing else.

And not long after, I left that place and lived my life.

Though you never left my mind and the daydreams never died.

Today, while thinking about you, I realized

I lost at the game I was not even playing.
