F/n L/n was always the best. The best at being the favorite child, the best at getting better grades, the best at just being the best. She was her parents' biggest accomplishment. There was never a family dinner where her parents didn't brag about her but there wasn't a single time her cousins would get annoyed of it. Her entire family was extremely proud of her. She almost felt like nothing can get in the way. That's right, almost.

The word almost comes in place after it marked its territory all over May 22nd 2018. It left a nasty scar not even the smartest and most talented people could fix. It was Y/n's Award Ceremony for being the best Rookie Setter in Tokyo.Even after all the awards, she felt like if it was her first time receiving an award. She still felt that feeling in her heart, the feeling of knowing you tried your best and your best gave you the best.

"F/n L/n please come on stage"

The happy girl made her way to the stage to receive another award she was grateful to have been given. She almost felt bad for all the people who didn't receive one because she truly believed everyone deserves an award.

"Best Rookie Setter in Tokyo"

The gold plated award in her hands was one of the most beautiful things she's ever seen. She could feel all eyes on her. She loved the attention she received from everyone in the room. It almost felt like she was the best person there. It almost felt like no one was disappointed in her. She feels at ease.

*THUMP*

It was almost the perfect day. Did I say almost too many times? Sorry but that's the only way to describe this heart wrenching moment. The moment that will shape you until you can learn to move on, and moving on is not ever an option

The scared 14 year old girl heard screaming coming from the audience. As she looked over she saw a crowd of people in one bunch but she couldn't see what was going on. Time felt like it was going by in slow motion, it almost didn't feel real.

As people started walking away from the now less crowded area she saw a clear image of what everyone was screaming about. There was a man, covered in blood, staining his white shirt and the brown wooden floor. That was not any man, it was her father. The man who shaped her to be who she is today. The man who told her that everything about her is beautiful no matter what anyone else thought. He kept bleeding out and it almost looked like he would run out.

Y/N, poor little girl, she knew that everyone was going to change. Nothing will be the same.

1 year later

y/n's pov

Today was Dad's 1 year death anniversary. Ever since that day nothing was the same as I expected. Dad's death was horrible, a screw in the Auditorium's ceiling was loose which caused a sharp light to fall and impale dad in the chest. That day has been on repeat everyday since. The audience tried helping but I knew he was gone. all because of a screw loose. When we won the court case for a lawsuit mom filed, she fled Japan and used some of the money to travel to the world, my siblings all went to boarding school in Spain and they all left me alone in Tokyo.

As much as I loved Fukorodani, I needed somewhat of a fresh start, even if it's still here in Tokyo. I don't want to walk the same streets ever again, so I'm moving to the other side of the city. I looked for houses online. Looking for a house that's suitable for me and...me. I didn't need anything too expensive, just something cozy. I found a perfect studio apartment that was just near this school, Nekoma high. It looked like a nice high school. Hopefully I meet nice people there.
