Anyone else think the yellow streamer is the saddest part of the game?
First, Bobby sacrifices himself to save Olivia, then the latter becomes almost hopeless after that moment, and she's usually really happy all the time.
And, I would say that the desert was dark because it reflects the darkness and hopelessness surrounding the moment after losing Bobby, but then again...it could just be because Hole Punch punched out the sun, lol.
Finally, Hole Punch didn't mean to hurt the Toads; he just wanted people to dance with. When he was defeated, he doesn't mention the streamer, he doesn't mention Olly, he doesn't even whine about getting defeated, or anything. He just says, "Oh, man... Why'd you have to harsh my groove? We had it bumpin' in here! Let's keep it going, anyway. Disco forever! Count it down!" He even kind of looked like he was about to cry when he said that. He didn't care about guarding the streamer, or defeating Mario.
Whenever I'm sad or depressed, I usually play this game, and it makes me feel happier...except if I'm on the yellow streamer.
