Karakai Jouzu No Takagi-San: rejection

prologue

Nishikata and Takagi-san were walking home from school together and Nishikata had finally decided and excepted he has a crush on her and is planning on telling her how feels and finally had enough courage to confess her and he hoped she liked him back

"H-hey Takagi-san, can we talk?" he asked her

"what is it?" she asked back smiling

"I want to tell you something" his face was turning red

"your face is turning red, are you asking me something pervy?" she said teasing him

"W-what n-no, it's serious"

"what is it?" she asked laughing

"I-I I...I... L-like you, a-and I've l-liked you for a while now, I love you" he said trying not to blush

Takagi stared at him for a couple of seconds before laughing at nishikata

"w-what's so funny?" he asked upset

"You like me? You love me? That's such an obvious lie for you to tease me back with, you so terrible at teasing me back Nishikata" Takagi continued laughing at Nishikata until she noticed something: he was crying, she stared at him for a few seconds before she realized that he was being serious about his confession, she tried to say something but nishikata turns and runs away from her crying leaving nishikata alone

'What have I done? h-he was being serious I-I need to talk to him' she thought before running in the direction that he ran away but was completely unable to find where he ran so she decided to go home and talk to him in school the next day

meanwhile: 

Nishikata ran away not planning where to run until his legs got tired and he stopped running but continued crying 'I-I really thought she liked me back, I'm so stupid, why did I say anything I should have kept my feelings secret" he kept thinking to himself before he suddenly hears someone calls his name

"nishikata?" asked a concerned voice

Nishikata turned around to see Yukari, Mina and Sanae standing behind him all with confused or worried looks on their faces

"what's wrong? why are you crying? are you ok?" asked Yukari with a worried voice

Nishikata then told them what had happened about him confessing his feeling to Takagi but her ending up rejecting him and breaking his heart making him cry some more, Yukari tries comforting him but nothing he can say can make him stop crying

suddenly Sanae walks up to him and gives him a hug and lets him rest his head on her shoulder and he starts crying less as he hugs her back, after a couple of seconds they stop hugging and Nishikata had stopped crying

"Are you okay now?" she asked him

"I feel better now, thanks," he said trying to smile

"Do you want to walk the rest of the way to your house with us, if you still feel sad" offered Mina

"Ummm? sure" he answered and the four of them began walking together, after a long walk they made it to his house

"T-thanks for helping me feel better," he told them

"you're welcome" replied Sanae

"I guess I should talk to Takagi-san tomorrow about what happened," he told them

"no, you shouldn't," said Sanae suddenly surprising them all

"W-What w-why," he asked shocked

"because she broke your heart, you confessed love to her and she just laughed at you, she thought it was a lie, you shouldn't be friends with her if that's how she treats you," she told him
