Chapter 8

*Ashlynn's POV*

I looked out at the crowd one last time as I walked back stage. I love the feeling of performing. Its such a rush, all those people cheering for you. That's bloody amazing.

"Ashlynn that was awesome I'm so proud of you!" Shane yelled startling me and engulfing me in a hug.

"Whoa there, I don't smell to good, give me a second." I said prying him off of me, and grabbing a bottle of water, and a towel.

"I'm a football player, I don't care." He said. And then I noticed Niall. Oh god I probably look horrible.

"That was a great show, that was the first time I've heard you live, and it was bloody amazing." Niall said.

"Thanks, that was fun, I like these smaller crowds. Sometimes arenas are just to crazy." I said.

"Yeah, I wish we could play more smaller gigs." He said.

"Ashlynn. Cmon we've got people to talk to!" Katherine said barging in.

"Can I at least get changed real quick?" I asked her.

"Yeah, yeah." She said then her eyes landing on Shane and Niall. "Cmon boys, lets give her a bit of space."

As she walked out, they both gave me a look that probably meant 'sorry you have such a bitchy manager'.

I laughed as they both followed her out. Then I found a dress someone had left out, it wasn't as much as the one I was wearing, but it was still pretty. I slipped it on, putting the other dress into a bag, and I ran a brush through my hair, and washed my face, trying not to smear my mascara, and eyeliner. I grabbed my phone slipping it into the bag, and putting it next to my guitar case. I've gotta let Katherine know that my stuff is back here. I walked out, and looked around for Katherine, I found her surrounded by business looking people. Cant I just make music and not deal with the business part?

I decided to find Savannah or Matt. After a bit of looking I found them talking with Harry and Zayn.

I decided to start my journey through the bar. After many 'great performances', 'Omigosh you're Ashlynn Carter', pictures, and signatures I got to them.

"That was a great performance!" Matt yelled over the noise in the bar.

"Yeah, I know we would always joke about becoming famous, but I never expected my best friend to get this far." Savannah said, then turned her attention back to Harry.

"That was the first time I've heard you live, but I've heard your music before. Niall's a big fan. I cant wait to hear more." Zayn said with a smile, instantly making me comfortable. I thought he was supposed to be a bad boy?

"Thanks." I said, checking my phone. "Well, I'll be seeing you two." motioning towards Savannah and Matt. "at the house. And I'll be seeing you two, later this week." Motioning towards Zayn and Harry. "But Katherine wants me. Toodaloo."

I made my way through the crowd to where I saw Katherine, and she spotted me looking relieved.

"Here she is." She said to the group of people. And I got bombarded with questions, and cameras and mircrophones. This is gonna be a long few hours.. And I cant even drink!

"Wow. What a night!" Savannah said as we walked in the door.

"I know. Is that how it always is?" Matt asked taking off his shoes, suit jacket and tie.

"Thats not that much, that was a small gig. Tours, and areans are even more crazy." I said.

"So this might be my life in a year?" He asked.
