Chapter 21. The Mech of Explanation

The two, after a bit of thinking, decided to insert the gyroscope into the slot. After a positive click and slight movement of the hull, the plating closed, showing the mech was now fully "awake" even though it was missing a fair bit of machinery, wiring and even some circuitry.

But none of that mattered. As this mech was quite clearly controlled by Nori, based off the floaty and almost puppet-like movement... And it started speaking

Nori(?) "Hello there. Please listen carefully we don't have much time, I'm due to return in about 10 minutes and If I return to a mech that's moving like this, we're all in trouble, got it?"

Izuku and Ochako went immediately on alert, focusing their gaze on the mech and it's gyroscope. It had to be some kind of control surface or direct linkage to the mech.

Both: "We understand sir. We're listening"

Nori(?): "Good, first off, don't tell this to Aizawa in any form of text or document, you must speak it to him and be clear that he must not say anything that could be suspicious. There is someone in the government pulling strings we cannot see. And they have someone else with a quirk that can read our current lives like stories, written down in a paper with a constant feed in their head. They cannot hear us, but they can see us and what we say. So listen carefully. They are monitoring almost all of the teachers within this school aswell as our hero agency's scientist. furthermore there are three people in this school NOT monitored, who must be the ones you show as accurate of a description to. "

There was heard a deep sigh before he sighed once again, and the mech shook slightly

Nori(?): "Recovery girl. Lunch Rush, and Thirteen. These three have not been monitored yet due to the lack of media coverance known widely. All the others have been caught on tape of some media, either in their hero work, a story, interview, or some type of accident or out of control situation, such as Hound Dog. Thirteen is very risky although simply because he is starting to be known more.. Especially after the events that have unfolded in UA. But those three are the only ones right now you can give the hard drive to. Listen to me. There is NOT a mole in your school, there is a mole in the government, or some private institution within the government. These people are trying to push for Mana based weaponry. Do NOT babble about this to anyone you presume has been met by this organization, or in media coverage."


This stunned the both of them, but they didnt have much time to ponder as the mech spoke again.. This time in the most serious tone it had been

Nori(?): "Mana training must be pushed in this school as soon as possible. Learn about this, control it, and make this training be taxing, that provides the fastest results. This mystical power must not go to power hungry people. Now, you have five minutes, Take out the gyroscope, unscrew it, take out the hard drive, and screw it back together, I am turning back from the quirk workshop and I am carrying another gyro. Please be quick... Nori out"

The mech then fell backwards into the harnesses, and the two almost screamed in panic.. Rushing to the gyro and pulling it out with a rather forceful clank of the coupling nodes. As then Izuku started unscrewing the gyro, with Ochako hastily trying to set the mech back to it's harnesses... Three minutes and the gyro was unscrewed, the hard drive out, and Izuku had begun to screw it back. All the while Ochako was continually using her quirk to lift the mech up and place it into the harnesses until all four limbs and the back were connected to the mechanical harness

A minute and a half remaining and the two had screwed the gyro back, set the mech, and were looking for towels to dry their sweat. That would be visible too right...?

And right on time, they had dried off the majority of the sweat, placed the gyroscope next to a sofa which the both of them sat on and leaned against each other.. Exactly on schedule as the exhausted Nori stepped through the security doors, carrying a ten pound gyroscope.

Nori: "H..hey.. huh.. phew.. this-"

He then places it down onto the ground with a rather audible thunk, the metal floor ringing slightly after that, at which point the two sprang back up to sit, acting way more embarrassed than they actually were

Nori: "....Wait you guys had the gyro the whole... No wait that was the glitched one, too little weight caused it to spin too quick.. Oh and goddammit I should've used my quirk"

He facepalmed and shook his head, nothing seemed off.. He was a decently good actor. And most likely stressed out of his mind

Izuku: "Y-yeah, w-well it did feel too light to be p-put into that.. And you we-werent coming to get it so uhh we uhm decided to bring it here.. Sorry f-for seeing th-this mech!"

Ochako: "Y-yeah we apologize sir!"

Nori: "...Eh? Nono, thank you for bringing it here, I would've absolutely forgotten about it until tomorrow"

He let out a hearty laugh and then sat on a nearby chair and grabbed a towel, the one they were using and drying his face off. He noticed it was damp, which made him twitch ever so slightly, but he just kept going, before throwing it against the unkempt mechanic's table

Nori: "Also this mech is a lil' personal project of mine, Just want to see how small I can make a mech suit while still being practical and not too tight of a fit for an average male. Ah! Im starting to ramble again, That seems common around these parts, huh?"

All three of them laughed a genuine laugh, before Ochako and Izuku both stood up giving a respectful bow to Nori, who bowed in his chair.

Ochako: "We wish you a wonderful day!"

Nori: "Yeah, thanks! Now that the gyro isn't another problem to deal with, I can relax. Until i get back to work.. Agaiiinn.. Ugh"

The two left Nori to his acting and work, and after they were a few rooms out they sighed a huge breath of relief, the hard rive placed in Ochako's jacket, right in the inside pocket. Finally a woman's jacket with larger pockets that came in use!

Ochako: "Oh Jesus christ, that went smoothly.. Thank god we found out. How many hints has he laid like this?! There were clear indications.. did he plan for all of them to end up here or somewhere else he was calculating? And more importantly, what if he failed.. But we must tell Aizawa, slowly.. And make sure he doesnt speak much, Well that doesnt sound too hard-"

Izuku:"-But he has night classes... So he wont be available, and if he is woken up in the middle of the night that would be suspicious of us in turn. And what if he also has information on us? Or they may only need a few things to trigger it.. Agh! We just don't know enough, but we cant be slow with this. Tomorrow, atleast.. No.. We need to make some sort of scene maybe? Or no that would be... Efficient. But dangerous... But who could we get a big enough reaction from-"


Bakugo: "HEY SHITTY NERD! ROUND FACE! WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING GLOOMY FOR YOU LOVEBIRDS?! GET TO THE DORMS WEVE GOT A MOVIE NIGHT!"

.....Right. We found the one.

OH YOU THOUGHT I WAS DONE WITH DRAMA AND ACTION? THINK AGAIN FUCKERS!

Today has been a slow day, same as yesterday and due to my own little issues and problems I didnt post yesterday so I may change my schedule to every other day, or simply not stress about it as much as I have been.
