The Morrigan is ancient and complicated. She is both one person and three. She can split into three different forms, each representing a different aspect of war. Each of these forms are the same person, just at different stages of their life. Nemain, for example, has the form of a woman no older than 27 while The Badb has the form of an old crone.
The personalities of the forms differ greatly, Nemain is erratic and can be terrifying to behold while Macha is calm and sometimes motherly.
