As Hinata walked back to school from the youth training camp, he saw Kageyama. They both missed each other but refused to admit it. They knew what was gonna happen the moment they made eye contact. In a mere second, they both ran as fast as they can towards the gym. Hinata won their short-lived race.
"Oi," Kageyama said," What were you doing for the last five days?" Kageyama wanted to tell him that he missed Hinata, but he was scared of what the boy's reaction would be.
"I was a ball boy," Hinata replied with an emotionless expression.
Kageyama smirked
"Hey, do you have the key to the club room or the gym?" Hinata asked, changing the subject.
"No.."
Since the gym was locked, Hinata brought out his volleyball and decided to play with Kageyama outside. They talked about what happened the past few days and decided to catch up on each other's lives. Kageyama felt a hint of jealousy as Hinata mentioned different names while complimenting them.
"There was a little giant there too," Kageyama said to retaliate.
Hinata's heart hurt. But only a bit. He decided to shrug it off as Kageyama continued talking. Hinata was also amazed that there was another person like him.
"He was also a hundred times better than you."
Hinata, feeling angry and annoyed, replied, "Did you really have to say that?!"
"Hey, I figured you'd be here," Tanaka said while spinning his spare keys. "You know, you didn't have to start fighting the moment you saw each other again," he added, imagining them as an old married couple. Kageyama and Hinata followed behind Tanaka as he opened the gym's door.
"Hey"
"You can fly even higher," Kageyama said.
Hinata blushed at Kageyama's words. Their eye contact made it even more intense. As Hinata was about to speak, they heard a familiar voice.
"Shoyoo!!!" Startled by Nishinoya's words, they both tried to act nonchalantly and said "Hey!" Nishinoya replied, "Hey Kageyama!"

"Hinata, Kageyama! You guys made it back in one piece," Sugawara said cheerfully while he patted Hinata's head and had his arm over Kageyama's shoulder. "Sugawara-san!" Hinata exclaimed.
Other members of the team asked the two males what happened during the Youth Training Camp. Daichi entered the gym and everyone greeted him. "I have an announcement to make," Daichi said gloomily.
"The nationals are canceled."
The room was filled with silence. Everyone was shocked and confused.
"WHAT!" Hinata was the first to speak.
"Have you heard of the Corona-virus?" Daichi asked.
"Wasn't that the virus that originated from another country? Why are we getting affected?" Tanaka replied.
"To take extra precautions, they decided to cancel it," Coach Ukai said, entering the gym with Takeda.
"This isn't fair!" Nishinoya replied. "We worked so hard to win against Shiratorizawa and this is the result?!"
"Don't worry! There's still a chance that they'd take their words back," Takeda said trying to cheer up the boys.
"As long as there are no Coronavirus cases in Japan, then it's fine," Asahi said.

After practice, Kageyama and Hinata left the gym together.
"Do you think nationals would be canceled, Kageyama-kun?"
"I'd rather not hope," Kageyama said while trying to hide his disappointment.
