XXXIII. New York, Europe... or Thailand

LOS ANGELES, CA | SATURDAY,  8 AM
SEPTEMBER 5TH 2020

~ Tayler's POV ~
I try to roll on my side, but I'm stuck in place. I kept my eyes closed knowing I forgot to close the blinds last night. I slightly move my arm and I hear a quiet groan coming from beside me. I frown a bit and then I remembered. The party last night. Well not really a party, but you get the memo. I slowly open my eyes, letting them readjust to the light. I look down next to me and a smile creeped on my face. I looked down at the girl right next to me. Her hair was quite a mess, but also pretty and perfect. I moved the strand of hair out of her face. I stroke her cheek with my thumb and she digs her face further into the crook of my neck. I let out a low chuckle and she wraps her arms more around my chest. "It's too bright", she mumbles making my heart skip a beat while her breath tickles me. "Let me close the blinds", I said chuckling. I started to get up but she pulled me back. "Nooo", she whined holding me tight. I lay back down and stroke her hair. I could feel her smile and I moved my head back a little, so I could see her face.

She slowly opens her eyes looking straight at me. "Morning", I said with a croaky voice. "Mhm", she hummed closing her eyes again. "Still not a morning person, huh?", I asked looking down at her. "Mhm mhm", she hummed again shaking her head slightly. She opens her eyes and gave me a little smile. I smiled back down at her and stroke her cheek again. "I wanna kiss you", I whispered looking at her. "Then do it", she said as her voice was quiet. She gave me  a little smile. My mouth fell open from her saying that and I put my other hand on her cheek. I lean in and she moves her head to the side just before I could kiss her. "I didn't actually mean it", she said giggling.

I moved back and hovered over her. I look at her questioned and she puts her hands in my hair. "Morning breath", she whispers. "I don't have any", I said shrugging, and honestly I didn't had any. "I'm not talking about you", she said biting her lower lip. "Do you really think I care about that if we are this close?", I said brushing my nose against hers. She scrunched her nose and smiled. "I uhh... I guess not", she said stuttering. Her cheeks turned a little red and I smiled at her. "Can I kiss you now?", I asked biting my lower lip. She nodded her head and I took that as my que. I leaned down again and connected our lips. It was slow and I loved every bit of it. After a few second I pulled away and put my face in the crook of her neck. She lets out a little chuckle and puts her hands in my hair. I moved my hands down and placed them on her waist. I kissed her neck and she kissed my cheek.

The past few hours we've been laying here, just cuddling, in complete silence. I guess Braelynn fell asleep again since her hands stopped moving thru my hair. I heard some moving throughout the house, signaling people are finally waking up, seeing it's already 1 pm. I slowly moved out of Braelynn's grip and walked down the stairs. The boys were sitting at the kitchen table, not seeing any of the girls downstairs. "Good day men", I said walking in. Every one of them groaned and Bryce dropped his head on the table. "Shut up, please", Blake said groaning. "Hung over huh?", I asked chuckling and grabbing a water bottle. "Dude, you like disappeared the whole night, where did you go?", Noah asked looking at me. "Stayed in my room with Lynn", I said sitting on the kitchen counter. "Oehhh", the boys said in unison. "Okay okay, none of that shit", I laughed, "we just watched a movie and talked." "Mhm sure, bro", Anthony said nodding.

We ordered food for everyone and eventually everyone came down. Braelynn came down too, but still had a grumpy face on. I gave her a little side hug and she looked up at me. "I want to sleep", she whispered hugging me back. "Lynn, you slept for over ten hours", I chuckled putting my arms around her shoulder. "So?", she mumbled. I pulled away and she frowned at me. "Okay, let's eat", I said shaking my head and pulling her with me to the kitchen. She walked behind me and everyone smiled while she walked into the room. She looked up and smiled a little. I let go of her hand and she walked to Addison who was sitting on the counter. She stood in between her legs and hugged her. I smiled and sat next to Bryce.

"Dude, why doesn't she wants to talk to me?", Bryce asked me looking at the two girls. "She's hurt about what you said. Just give her some time, okay? She will forgive you", I said patting his back. He dipped his head and lets out a groan. "Why do I always need to run my mouth", he whispers under his breath. I just chuckle and grab my coffee. "Don't know dude, don't know", I said chuckling.

~ Braelynn's POV ~
"What's up with you and your 'bestie'", Addison asked me putting quotations up at the word bestie. We were currently walking on Melrose, because we needed some new clothes. "Don't say it like that", I said shoving her slightly. We started to laugh and I linked our arms again. "But honestly I don't know", I said shrugging. "Does he at least know you like him?", she asked looking at me. "Yeah, yes. We talked about it", I said smiling slightly. "So... are you like... together?", she asked wiggling her eyebrows. "No... at least I don't think so", I said unsure. "What do you mean?", she asked. "I mean, we didn't ask each other, so I guess not", I said. "It will come, believe me", she said putting her arm around my shoulder. I smiled at her and we walked into a shoe store.

After shopping for two hours, I brought Addison home and went home after. I came home and dragged all the shopping bags inside. "Hello sis", Brandon said coming down the stairs. "Hey, how was therapy?", I asked dropping the bags on the ground. I hugged him and we walked to the kitchen. "Oh nothing new, just exercise things", he said shrugging. "Hey honey", Alicia said smiling at me. "Hey mom", I said kissing her cheek. "How was the party?", she asked. "Didn't really went to the 'party', just hung out with Tay", I said sitting on the counter. "Owh, anything happened?", she asked raising her eyebrows. "Nope, nothing new", I smiled looking down.

"Well, I know my daughter... and the last time I saw you like this, was when you were with him", she said smiling at me, "follow your heart okay?" I looked up at her. "I don't know anymore", I said pressing my lips together. "What do you mean?", Brandon asked sitting next to Alicia. "Aaron asked for an answer next week. And I don't know what to do, because things just got good again... and I'm scared if I tell Tayler I'm leaving again...", I said looking down at my hands. "You'll lose him again?", Brandon asked finishing me. "Yup", I said looking up, "what if we stop being friends? Again." "Just tell him, he'll get it", Alicia said smiling at me. "I'll think about it", I said hoping off the counter, "I'm gonna put my stuff away." They both smiled at me and I went upstairs.

I have been walking back and forth in my room, contemplating to call Tayler . I mean I do want to tell him, but on the other side I don't. But I know if I don't tell him, we are just reliving the past. We will fight and don't talk to each other for a whole year, maybe our whole life's. I hate it here. Ring ring. I look over at my phone on my bed. And guess who it was? Tayler Holder. I quickly grab it and pick up. "Hey, do you want to ge-", he started. "Can I tell you something?", I asked closing my eyes shut. "Uh, yeah. Are you okay?", he asked. "Uh, yeah yeah... I'm fine", I said rambling. "You're making me nervous, Lynn", he said letting out a chuckle. "Okay, uhmm", I said sitting down, "so you know my boss? From New York?" I was stalling so much. "Yeah? What about him?", he asked worried. "We had a few meetings... and uhh", I said biting my lip. "Lynn, you can tell me, it's okay", he said with a low tone. "I know... okay fuck it", I mumbled. "I need to answer them on where I'm going to go next year", I spat out. "Go where?", he asked right after. "New York, Europe... or Thailand", I said almost whispering. "What?", he asked. I couldn't tell if he was angry or not. This was the one thing I was scared of.
