Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD): Excessive anxiety about a number of events or activities, occurring more days than not, for at least 6 months.
People with GAD are always worrying and feel anxious nearly all of the time, though they might not even know why. They constantly worry about anything and everything or have fears that obstruct their every day lives. People with GAD find it hard to control the constant worries.
Anxiety related to GAD often show with symptoms such as:
• insomnia
•trouble falling or staying asleep
•upset stomach, nausea
•restlessness; tiredness, feeling on edge
•fatigue; irritability
•Excessive worrying
•muscle tension
•Headaches
•Difficulty concentrating
•trembling
•easily startled
